Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

My money is it being part of either the entrance or in the queue. For the entrance I'm thinking in a similar style to Th13teen's entrance with the wraiths. I agree with your theory Tom, it certainly sounds the most plausible one my in view but if not, I reckon it'll be used somewhere as part of the...

Re: End of Season Review 2017

I'd like to echo everyone's comments so far and say that it has been a good season for AT and having Hex back is a particular highlight as it is one of my favourite rides there.  Also Scarefest was really great this year and again topped Thorpe for me in terms of maze quality and run throughs (Sub S...

Re: Fireworks

I also really loved the fireworks and both days were very impressive.  It was nice to have the focus on the fireworks themselves after last year's Galactica theme and the addition of people's memories of Alton Towers and and their feelings when they visit made it rather special in my view.  A fantas...

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

After having also seen it in person last week, I'm personally still excited about SW8 and I think it will be a great addition to the coaster line up at towers.

Re: ScareMazing 2017 - Reviews & Feedback

I'd also like to say a huge thanks to the team for organising such a fab event and I had an amazing time yesterday. There were many highlights from an insight into how Scarefest is planned to the BTSs of the mazes - all really interesting and I especially loved my run through in Sub Species. Even af...

That does look cool and one of many reasons to go back to Florida at some point :)

I can see both sides of the debate but perhaps the rapids will receive some TLC while it's closed :)

Re: Fright Nights

I'm curious to see what the Walking Dead mazes will be like as I'm also fairly new to the show (just started season 4) and I'm hoping the new ones will be good.  It is good that TP have gone in a different direction with FN but also I hope whatever changes they've made to Platform 15 will be better ...

I enjoyed reading your trip report as it's nice to see other parks that I haven't seen much of before :)

Re: Heide Park

Yeah I really want Colossos to stay as it's one of my favourite woodies and would be such a shame if it was to close.  Plus I would like to return to Heide as a few things have been added since I visited and to have Colossos still part of the line-up would be great.

Re: Vampire

It is a shame because it takes away the character of the ride and it's not as impressive as it used to be.  I guess Merlin have to distribute their budgets carefully but to have some TLC given to Vampire would be great.

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

I used to like Knightmare too, a classic TV show :)

But regarding this attraction, it actually looks quite good and if Merlin were to put anymore VR additions in, I hope it won't be on any rides!

I quite like the sound of Chessington's line up and I'm tempted to go back to their Halloween event this year as I haven't been for a few years.

Re: LEGO Ninjago World - 2017

I went on the new Ninjago ride last week and I have to say, I was really impressed and once I got used to using my hand instead of a laser gun, it was pretty simple and I think it's a great addition to the park.

Re: SP Summer Sizzler 2017 - Reviews & Feedback

What an amazing day full of fascinating facts and fun with fantastic people. The talk was really insightful and there was a lot to learn about the park and DBGT which was a great way to start the event. The tour of the Swarm workshop was also really interesting and talking to the engineers too as th...

Re: Towers Loving Care

I like that idea Tom, having monorail trains designed around the coasters would look nice and also give them a refresh.  Also, if they were to do that, perhaps the windows could be made to be transparent as well so that you can get a better view of the park as you travel in the trains.

Re: Chessington - The Future

I love the idea of Mystic East receiving some TLC as it's overdue and will be nice to have some tigers to look at as well. Chessington has always been a pretty scenic park and this will be a nice addition.
