Re: X:\ No Way Out

As it stands the retheme will not include VR.

The budget is substantial enough for some pretty cool interior theming. :)

Team Change

Hello, I'm sad to announce that Dom is departing our team in order to focus on that pesky thing known as real life. I'm sure you'll all join me in thanking him for his dedication and hard work during his time as part of the team on TTSP. He can't escape completely though, I'm pleased to add that he ...

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

When that pathway was open it was really interesting to get up close to the ride. The scale is much more impressive in person and you could really get a sense of the elevation changes between the top of the lift and the helixes down by the theming feature. This is not going to be a slow ride by any ...

Re: Tulley's Shocktoberfest

Exciting!

The recent additions to Tulleys have been phenomenal in terms of theming and set design, I'm curious to see what they can do with a prison theme.

I sadly didn't get there this year, but I've already pencilled it in for next season.

Re: Fireworks

I really liked the display this year. Yes, some of the voiceovers were a bit cringey, but those are all real people and those are their real feelings about the resort, as someone involved with TowersTimes it was nice to hear it, we get a very scewed view of the park and often forget the excitement a...

Re: Fireworks

The display should be fairly 'simple' this year, but much more spectacular in regards to the effects they're using.

I don't believe there will be any screens/projections like in previous years, instead the effort has gone into enhanced pyrotechnics and lighting/lasers etc.

Re: Twin Lakes Park & Extreme Scream Park

I went to Xtreme Scream Park for the first time ever the other day and had a great time.  Stand Outs were definitely The Village, Stilton Hall Hotel and Ash Hell.  Pie Factory was pretty weak as was the clowns thing but as I understand it these are leftover from when the event was run by another com...

Yup, that's the control room for this year. It's a much better solution than the ones they've used in the past!

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

8byfire,

Whilst your enthusiasm is commendable, I do think you're looking into things a little too much.

Not everything in The Welcoming is directly tied to the theme of SW8. Eg. The elements references were added by the Scarefest creatives rather than being an SW8 link.

With all the hints to Earth, Wind and Fire in the mazes maybe they are hinting at a September opening?

No. It's opening at the start of next season. :)

Re: Saw - The Ride

My issue with Saw isnt that it's rough throughout, but it has one very nasty jolt at the bottom of the first drop which leaves you with concussion for the rest of the ride. I think this gives the impression it's a lot rougher than it is. The train jolts so violently most people hit their heads on th...

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

The ride is targeted to open with the season next year.

However the resort won't confirm this until much nearer the time as they don't want to get caught out like they did with The Smiler.

Re: Fright Nights

Has anyone that has been recently noticed any changes or improvements to Living Nightmare? It hasn't got amazing reviews so was hoping they may have improved it :) I went on the 20th, It's not changed much beyond having a slightly reworked finale.  There was a lot of actors! (More than 4 per room/s...

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

I've never been a particular fan of Hotel New York, for its price bracket it doesn't really offer anything too special and you may as well pay the extra and stay in the Disneyland Hotel.

So for me this change is a welcome one. However if they touch Tower of Terror I will be incredibly annoyed!

Re: The Future of Sonic Spinball

The ride is a heap of turd operationally, it's throughput is small and it's a maintenance nightmare.  It also annoys the locals with noise, is obnoxious in theme and placement and infringes upon a 'protected view' of the towers.  Every major planning app that references that area has stated the ride...

Re: SeaWorld Orlando

That looks lovely. I really liked Aquatica on the last two visits to Orlando and with that addition it possibly edges out Volcano Bay in terms of what slides the park has.

They just need some sort of LSM Aquacoaster now and there will be no reason to tolerate Volcano Bay and the awful TapuTapu.

Re: Scarefest

It's looking like another high quality addition. Mazes tend to look far better when theatrically lit with smoke and other effects so I can't wait to see it all in action. The tech geek in me is already spotting certain things in place. There are a few changes to the other mazes as well, so overall t...
