Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

I don't get why they would shut the rapids so randomly without notice? Guessing its to cut down costs on staff, but it seems silly having it shut for fright nights as its probably the best water ride out of the lot to go on at night (you don't really want to get wet at night).  Could they be renovat...

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

Hey, Quick random question. I've always noticed that Tidal Wave doesn't really 'float' like say a log flume does, it's just wheels on metal, and sometimes you can visibly see it going round without the water on the drop. However when it reaches the bottom I believe it uses the water as its brakes, ...

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

Went yesterday, glad I didn't go today, looks like they are having terrible problems with the weather - all rides apart from derren brown/x look to be shut (not sure how the dodgems are effected by the wind?). Found this by the clown tent, is this a clue for whats coming next year? (said 'O? 2018') ...

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

Anyone know what's going on with Rush? Seems to have been shut for a long time. Also have they actually started removing any parts of Slammer yet? Or could they change their mind and re-open it.

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

Went on this twice the other day, it seems the tube headlights that come towards you, in the midway 'live' part are broken, it was working fine in July when I last went. The VR worked great the first time (although it seems the quality has slightly decreased a bit? Might just be my imaginati...

Re: Oblivion - Now sponsored by Fanta

The big poster seems to now have been completely removed from what I could see today, just a white painted wall. (Looked like it had been taken off and not painted over).

Re: Interesting Wardley Sightings

I was there today, and we noticed 2 groups of people wearing suits holding documents up and checking the area around Katanga Canyon. I managed to catch a glimpse of one of the documents and it did indeed look like a planning document (similar to the ones for thirteen), although I'm guessing this cou...

Re: University Choices 2011

So does this take into account my as level I did as well? If it does then I worked out I'l only need CCD or something, so this will be my insurance..although I've probably done something wrong. Leeds, I didn't like the uni at my interview, so won't be going there, just got to somehow choose between...

Re: University Choices 2011

Re: A bit of a random question (about late trains)

I've gotten on a lot of last trains/late trains (by myself always from london) and tbh they usually are quite quiet. Theres always some drunkards on it, but they usually mind their own business and I just suggest putting some headphones in and listening to some music by a window or something so not ...

Re: Champions League 2009/10

Just got back from the match, was great fun as always, glad they made a good come back at the end, although I do feel that the first goal Barca scored could have been easily avoided, and it happened right in front of me! Was sitting on the 5th row so good views :)

Re: Th13teen - Ride discussion [SPOILERS TOPIC]

I am quite impressed, I thought all along it was a drop, but was never to sure. I think they have done very well with the quick timing of locking the train on to the track, and it dropping, and then it being launched backwods, no lengthy waiting for it to align at the bottom and so on. Also I think ...

Re: What Web Browser Do You Use?

I use chrome, I just love how fast and free and open it feels. The GUI takes up hardly any space unlucky most browsers which are rather chunky at the top, and it gives you loads of room to view as much as possible. I also love the tab feature with prev visited websites etc. it has, but from what I h...

Re: Current Virgin Media Broadband Issues

My speed is http://www.speedtest.net/result/667427599.png and thats with a 10mb package thingy, Kaz surely there must be something wrong somewhere as you are paying much more for a higher package, yet you are being throttled down lower than what us customers who pay less for. Also a bit off topic, b...
