Re: Alton Towers - Quick Questions

Hi guys, quick question, BUT ITS URGENT! Was planning a trip to the waterpark tomorrow, it is booked up online, but am I still able to just turn up on the day? Thanks in advance :) Yes. It is slightly more expensive, and you may be turned away if they're at capacity but that's fairly unlikely. Than...

Re: 2013 Scarefest

Today has been an awful day. The park was fantastic, as were the mazes, but the park was literally dominated by travellers! It was awful. Never seen anything like it! Queue jumping; left, right and centre! Abusive towards both guests and security/police, not to mention the strange smells coming from...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

On the Theme Park Collective Facebook page, it says: "To clear up some information about THE SMILER. The reason it was closed for a few days was due to the footers at the top of X-Sector having structural damage. There was also a issue with the first lift hill. This part was installed early las...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

There seems to be quite a big difference of opinion on how smooth the ride is (not necessarily on this thread but others here and all over the internet) , do you think that maybe one or 2 of the trains or individual car sections (front/middle/back) are not built or configured as well as others? An ...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

What an absolutely AMAZING ride!  :D I was one of the people queuing from the morning, but it was well worth it, even if I am sunburnt!  Got a few pictures: http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy29/jordanc14/8794eee98dd482edb8e3678c12706cd1.jpg http://i774.photobucket.com/albums/yy29/jordan...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

Woo, I won the pen!! Haha ;) but, in all seriousness, looking forward on a slightly pessimistic note, if SAW is anything to go by, should we expect some bad teething troubles? I quote from my post in 14th May, oh how right I was! Well, if it is even "teething troubles", I visited on Satur...

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

I really wish that they could give us a date. I'm obviously annoyed, and I know that they can't work wonders, but I wish we also got an explanation! I can make it any day, it's just the planning involved! Not happy at all.

Re: The Smiler - Construction Discussion

The prestigious award has finally been awarded! And Alton Towers now has the joint 4th most inversions in the world! It has 20 inversions, so only 6 of them aren't The Smiler!

Not sure if this has been posted, but I found this on Facebook, apparently from Merlin Entertainments Germany.
