Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

As reported by TowersTimes Facebook; Alton Towers have unveiled their latest addition to the entertainment in CBeebies Land with Andy's Prehistoric Adventures! The meet-and-greet features Andy's team aboard their Dino-Mobile, as they make their way from the top of CBeebies Land, down to the plaza in...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Yesterday evening, SouthParks attended a preview of Zombie Hunt, which is a thoroughly entertaining addition to the park. Running every day from 12pm until 6pm, the event features great humour and light scares, and is sure to be a hit over the summer. You can experience Zombie Hunt from today until ...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

What changes are they making to it? There isn’t a lot of info in the Saw Alive topic atm. Hopefully it won’t be open when I go on August 8th (that sounds awful, sorry! ;)) As far as I’m aware, there aren’t any changes being made to the actual maze. It’s more likely to be a case that it’s not been s...

Re: FIA Formula One World Championship - General Discussion

Verstappen fastest in P2, although he did have an engine issue part way through the session but managed to get back on track in the last few minutes.

Red Bull looking strong, but once again, reliability issues are impacting them.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I imagine it’ll only be open until Saw Alive is ready, as that was meant to be open from tomorrow until the end of the summer holidays. However, we don’t have any indication as to how long that will be :)

Re: FIA Formula One World Championship - General Discussion

Bottas has signed a one year extension with Mercedes, with the team having an option for a second year. Meanwhile Ricciardo goes fastest in FP1, but has had to change so many bits on his engine that he'll start last regardless of qualifying. Let’s not forget that Hamilton has also re-signed with Me...

Re: Towers Loving Care

The actual ride may still be intact. To be honest, it only looks like the fiberglass shell has deteriorated. There is the potential for it to return with a retheme or in a different position. If they were planning on bringing the ride back, surely they would have dismantled and stored it away indoo...

Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

Does anyone know how busy Towers will be late-September, as I seem to be going then.  Pretty much the whole of September is quiet. Traditionally, the period between the end of the school holidays and the beginning of Scarefest is fairly quiet, although not as quiet as the first few weeks of the sea...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Thorpe Park have updated the blog on their website with an article about Love Island Lates. Right, don’t know if you’ve noticed but it’s been mysteriously hot for the past couple of weeks, we’ve worn shorts for more days consecutively than we ever have in our whole life and we actually did pretty we...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

If the Dungeons does end up being in the CatCF building, there is potential for it to be an attraction that doesn’t call any “area” home. If they were to retheme Burger Kitchen next door to tie-in with the Dungeons facade and branding, kind of what they’ve done with Wicker Man, they could leave CCL ...

Theme Park Guide have documented that Twirling Toadstool, which has been closed under the guise of TLC in the past couple of years, appears to be in a state of disrepair. https://i.imgur.com/60OzAnm.jpg https://i.imgur.com/KVO1Q2M.jpg https://i.imgur.com/bVLJRTb.jpg In the above pictures, you can s...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Leek Signs have posted another update of graphical work they’ve done for Alton Towers which includes a slider style sign for the Congo River Rapids, presumably which will indicate the maximum number of people being loaded to a boat on any given day. https://i.imgur.com/5g0yWnZ.jpg https://i.imgur.c...

Re: Project 42 (Nemesis Sub-Terra) - New for Scarefest 2018

I think they’d miss a trick by not having part of the maze go through the bottom section of the ride area, presuming of course the ride system has been removed. It may well be that the ride system is fully intact, but if it is and it’s out of bounds due to H&S, it would severely restrict the spa...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Assuming this theory is correct, which is highly unlikely, I could see it happening at the front. I'm no expert on the towers ruins, and i'm purely just assuming there is access to some or all the windows that face the lake, but its always good to speculate (And wish) That’s where I imagine it will...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

According to this Facebook post by TowersStreet, Wicker Man was testing on all three trains at the end of the day today.

Whatever parts they were waiting on must have been delivered and fitted quickly so hopefully it’ll be back up and running soon!

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

5:30pm still isn't good enough. Towers, you should be open much  later at this time of year. And when there is significant downtime, and nice weather... well, that's when you extend the opening times even further . Guess we can only dream of 7pm or 8pm closings. :( If they had the budget to, I’m su...
