Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

I’m struggling to get my head round what they were thinking when they thought this was a good idea. It just looks tacky, what was wrong with how it was before?

Re: Alton Towers 40th Anniversary in 2020

Possibly N-ST reopening, Seeing as there has been a tent seen there this year maybe work has gone in refurbishing it, or it might be having some TLC. But that's just my thoughts. The activity around Nemesis: Sub-Terra is related to Project 42, the new maze for this years Scarefest that is utilising...

Re: Fright Nights

As reported by SouthParks Facebook, With under three weeks to go, construction for Fright Nights is now well underway at Thorpe Park Resort. Shipping containers and a yellow school bus have been placed on the concrete area by Crust, indicating this will be the home of The Walking Dead: Do or Die. Th...

Re: Congo River Rapids - General Discussion

Fingers crossed we might see the waterfalls turned back on sooner rather than later. I don’t think we’ll see the waterfalls switched back on until all of the Rapids boats have received the enhancements. They could potentially be back for Scarefest but I wouldn’t be surprised if Towers waited until ...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Has the resort confirmed that the Wicker Man actors will be surrounding the area, or is that purely speculation? Nevertheless, I'm VERY excited to ride Wicker Man in the dark - however, I'm sure the queues will be more scary than the ride  :lol At this stage it’s speculation, however, there were wr...

Re: Alton Towers Resort Merchandise

I think I've spotted an error with the hoodie I bought at Towers, anyone else spot this and can confirm? I have done a rough translation and it appears to be blocks of the alphabet, in the GHIJK the I does not appear to be the same as used in the Wickerman marketing campaign https://pkfbyq.am.files...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Speaking of effects, it seems the smoke effect in the station is finally working as it was originally intended, as shown in this picture taken by Thrill Nation on Thursday.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Music and Videos

While I would love to have a Towers/IMAScore CD, is there currently enough content to make such a CD worthwhile? Off the top of my head, we have: Towers Street, The Smiler, Wicker Man, Galactica, Spinball Whizzer and the Heritage Soundtrack. I suppose they could also add the finale music from the 20...

I imagine it will be pretty quiet :)

Re: The 'How busy will it be?' Topic

Should check it now, The Smiler is 120 mins, and Th13teen is at 100 mins!  :O Even Hex is 20 mins - the first week of September is perhaps not the best week to go! A mixture of schools on their last few days of holiday and people thinking the schools have gone back perhaps? Today is a teacher train...

Re: SW9

Having ridden Icon, I believe a Mack multi-launch coaster on the Rita site would be the best option for SW9. I’m not sure how much of the woodland adjacent to Dark Forest they would be able to utilise, as this would naturally increase the ride’s footprint, but the Merlin group are missing a trick by...

Re: What happened to Ripsaw?

Rameses Revenge at Chessington seems to be experiencing similar problems now (more than what Ripsaw appeared to have at the time) but it was rumoured that Ripsaw became a donor for other Huss Top Spins in the group. I’m pretty certain that Ripsaw was shipped to Heide Park where it was used as spare...

It all seems very messy at Force India. Sky Sports F1 have just tweeted this picture which shows all the branding has been removed from the team trucks that have arrived in Spa for this weekends race.

It hasn’t been confirmed anywhere, but I would imagine so.

It’s a real shame, as the park operates so much better when pretty much everything opens at 10.
