So when are people expecting that the opening day will be announced?

I would expect some time in the next week or so. If it is to open on opening day, they can’t leave it too much longer to announce it or they risk people not being able to arrange plans to visit.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Apparently the fog machines and some of the lighting was added for the images, so we should expect less lighting and fog :) That’s quite normal for promotional images, remember the amount of lighting The Smiler had when those images were released? I still believe that the Wicker Man will look brill...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

WOW. That’s all I really have to say about the photos. Yes, they may have been edited to enhance the image but it doesn’t take anything away from how good the Wicker Man structure actually is. I’m really looking forward to seeing the whole thing finished and running, with all the effects working. I ...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Attraction Images have been up in the air again and posted some new aerial photos. The first is a close up of the area around the station and lift hill which shows work is still ongoing in and around the small building next to the Wicker Man structure. The second is of Mutiny Bay and shows a bus an...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

There seems to be a notable lack of excitement for Icon on TTSP compared with all the other enthusiast forums, I can't quite put my finger on why :? Despite its relative lack of inversions, I still think Icon will be a brilliant coaster, potentially one of, if not the, best in the country. I’ve alw...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I do believe there will be some form of special effect “finale” in the covered section of track after the brake run. I can’t see any other reason why it would be enclosed as it’s obviously not for noise reasons.

Hopefully it won’t be too long before the park release more information about the ride :)

Re: Towers Loving Care

The latest Towers Loving Care update focuses on the Circular Summerhouse. Even though it's still winter ☃️the huge amount of Heritage TLC continues on our Circular Summerhouse ready for when the sun eventually does come out! ☀️ Built in the early 19th century and situated to the east end of the gard...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Excuse the quality, but seems the track for Icon is now complete, as shown in this image taken from a video recorded by the Blackpool Gazette.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Well, that looks awful. How they can even attempt to justify charging £80 for that is beyond me. It’s a nice idea, but even with the items being Limited Edition and exclusive to the box, it’s still vastly overpriced and probably double what I would even consider paying.

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

The only negative that I have of Icon, at this stage, is the relative lack of inversions when you compare it to other megacoasters like Blue Fire and Helix. I really think it could have done with a few more, especially in the second half of the layout. That being said, I think the way it interacts w...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Now the trains are on site and the track expected to be complete this week, surely we can’t be too far away from Icon testing? I wouldn’t be surprised if we see some form of movement from it over the next couple of weeks.

Re: Fantasy Island

The repaint on Millennium is indeed happening, these photos were uploaded to the Fantasy Island Facebook page on 14th January, so I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s finished by now.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Not sure what I think of this. Yeah it’s a nice idea but I don’t think it’s anywhere near worth the £80. One thing that does intrigue me is the wooden block. Is it going to be a similar size to the SW8 offcuts that were on sale towards the end last season, or something smaller? The lack of Annual Pa...

Re: Chessington - General Discussion

It appears Chessington’s Half Term event has got off to a good start, as the car park has reached capacity. The wording of the tweet suggests that they don’t have all the available car parks open.

Re: Towers Loving Care

Is there a lot more TLC happing over this closed season? Compared to previous years.. the work done so far is incredible! I’m not sure if there’s more being done, maybe it’s just the fact that more is being made public. I’m really impressed with the work that’s been done on Towers Trading. I never ...

Re: Fantasy Island

Fantasy Island’s website has been updated with their two new attractions for this season, Frisbee and Magic . https://i.imgur.com/MU947dT.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5S32OXX.jpg Amazing Confusion has also been removed from the website, which suggests it won’t be at the park during 2018. Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle (4DX) - 9/10 Having never seen the original Jumanji (shocking, I know!) I wasn't sure what to expect from this film, however, being a big fan of both Dwayne Johnson & Kevin Hart, I was optimistic of enjoying it. I enjoyed the storyline, specifically how they had u...

Re: Towers Loving Care

Finally, some news about Duel! I’m glad the soundtrack is being changed, hopefully the new one brings back some of the atmosphere the Haunted House had. However, I do hope that the changes to the ride itself aren’t purely aesthetic and they actually spend some money on fixing some of the effects, es...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Never really understood where the rumour that the ASA got involved came from, but honestly I highly doubted it then and now doubt it further as the ride is still marketed as a world's first attraction on the latest hotel ads and on the website itself! :P A member on another fan site complained to t...
