Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

I believe the selected dates for the pre-season days have been chosen in correlation with the opening dates of the parks, as they are both within a week of the main season starting.

Re: February Half Term 2018

I'm not too familiar with this event, but I'm presuming that those Pirates of Mutiny Bay shows won't  be performed in Mutiny Bay's Courtyard if they don't get a move on with dismantling The Welcoming?  With the exception of Sharkbait Reef, the theme park is closed during the FHT event. All of the e...

February Half Term 2018

Alton Towers have updated their website to confirm the entertainments offering for the Pirate and Princess Takeover during February Half Term. It includes the return of the Pirates of Mutiny Bay who bring with them a brand new show called ‘The Lore of Treasure Unknown’, along with the long-running ...

Re: Mutiny Bay Smokehouse

I'm really not sure how reliable this is, but according to TowersStreet Facebook page, the Smokehouse in Mutiny Bay will now not be opening for 2018. I can’t say I’m surprised, given that The Welcoming is still fully in place. If the Smokehouse was still happening this season we would have seen act...

Re: Wicker Man Construction Discussion

Can we be sure that the ride has begun testing given that there is still scaffolding blocking the track? Don't know when this was taken but the testing claim by the ECC was made nearly a month and a half ago. As far as I can tell, the scaffolding has been erected in such a way that it still provide...

Re: Wicker Man Construction Discussion

Every time I see a Wicker Man update, it makes me get just that little bit more excited about riding it. It really is shaping up to be a fantastic addition to the resort. That being said, I do hope they do something with the wall surrounding the first turn out of the station. At the moment it just l...

What is Inferno like?

As good as you’d expect. It retains the feel of the original Inferno theme while having some IMAscore magic sprinkled all over it :lol

Nooooo, you too! Where is my copy? :( With regard to IMAScore CDs, they all tend to be like that but you do get used to it very quickly! Someone seems a bit salty that they haven’t got theirs yet :P Having listened to the soundtrack in its entirety today, it’s well worth a purchase. Highlights for ...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Hopefully, with the other side of the park seeing a greater amount of footfall due to Wicker Man, they will start reintroducing elements of the theme that were removed in the aftermath of the crash. As has been mentioned above, the return of the “Half Way Corrected” signage/audio and an increase in ...

Re: Wicker Man Area Speculation and Discussion

I think that only Gloomy Wood will be rethemed, with Duel perhaps being tweaked to say that the zombies are the corpses of the former ‘chosen ones’.  I really don’t think Wicker Man will be in Gloomy Wood. Considering the entrance is directly opposite the Mutiny Bay Courtyard, it’ll be part of Muti...

My Thorpe Park soundtrack arrived this morning. Included in the package is the double-CD, an “I Love Theme Park Music” sticker and a piece of card which has been signed by the wonderful people at IMAscore. Some photos below :) https://i.imgur.com/RplSDMx.jpg https://i.imgur.com/5y20RZi.jpg

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

We might also see real fire inside the structure further away from the track, as I'm not sure that the wicker effect on the wickerman itself is actually made of wood. This was discussed a couple of pages ago. This post by Lewis pretty much sums it up: lewis97 wrote: While I believe you're right abo...
