Re: Galactica - General Discussion

I haven't done the VR either. It just doesn't appeal to me one bit, plus if its out of sync than it would set of my motion sickness and that's a risk i'd rather not take

Congratulations to Tiger Roll and to Zach for choosing the winner!

Next Not So Sweepstake will be Eurovision and it works slightly different but will explain when it launches :)

Re: Escape Room Attractions

The only room escapes i've done are Thorpe Park's Containment and Outbreak in Portsmouth, both of which have a scary theme. I loved them and am looking to do more as and when i have free time. There are so many popping up. I know of quite a few out there, both scary themed and non scary themed. I ha...

By the way, how does this work? What happens??

Its very simple, you pick or get given a thing/person/country. Then when the actual event is, the winner will be announced in here. Its just a bit of fun to liven up sporting events

Re: Th13teen - General Discussion

Th13teen really is one of those rides that gets better the older it gets. I genuinely have a soft spot for this coaster. It may not be the best layout or the most intense or the highest or fastest, but it just brings a smile to the riders faces. Its just a fun coaster. The theming is ok. Again, its ...

Re: SP Spring Spectacular 2018 - Reviews & Feedback

Thanks everyone involved in making this one of my favourite southern events. It was just nice to be able to act like a big kid. I never realised how much fun throwing balls at the team would be, but it was :lol  Thank you to Michelle and Andy for the really interesting talk. I never even comprehende...

Dreamland is apparently getting 9 new rides this year. These include an Air Race and a spinning coaster. A lot of the rides will be Zamperla.

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

I'm about to do a very spoiler full review so only read if you want spoilers As i'm sure many of you have seen, the entrance to The Walking Dead The Ride is the watch tower and the whole queue is now outside, so will just say its quite slow batching. Once you actually enter the building it becom...

Things like this just don't do the ride any justice. They've made the ride laughable now!

Totally agree with this. Its made it a joke instead of something serious. I was really excited to ride this and now, not so much!

Re: Scarefest

I am so glad The Welcoming got nominated in the the Best Set, Costume and Make-up category as it was just stunningly beautiful. I do however think that it won't win the Street Team award as some of the others in the category are much stronger.

No. There is a donut place next to the main arcade bit, near DBGT.

Re: Food

Bush BBQ is no longer open on the park. The signs for the eatery have been taken down and its been fenced off. Inferno's Pizza Pasta has had an extension. Also pizza pasta now only has sugar free drinks options.  The coffee kiosk next to Bush BBQ has become a pasty stand.  Mexican Cantina is current...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

According to various people who were on park today, DBGT has undergone some work over closed season. Its mixed reviews on the changes with some people loving it and some hating it.

Spoiler: show
It looks as though the middle scene, in the tunnel, has become a mini scare maze with strobe lighting

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I can totally understand why people are slightly disappointed in the advert as it doesn't really focus on the backstory of the ride, which is a shame, but given its sticking with the way the other adverts have been done, including Smiler, it fits in that way. I think what wins it over for me is that...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Yeah, I don't get The Dockyard. A dockyard is an area for maintaining and repairing ships, yet its DBGT and TWD and in the middle of the island, all of which (i'm assuming with regards to TWD) have nothing to do with boats. The Yard or The Train Yard would have worked better, but its just a name I g...
