Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

Does anyone feel that this is what AT want us to be looking at and that they are secretly working on a different area, but everyone's attention is on the theming or is it just that I watch way too much TV :lol Also are we sure that that is the head as it doesn't look very head like for neither human...

Re: Fright Nights

Amber got some pictures from earlier today, but she's not very techy and they aren't the best quality, but here they are: https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-0/p350x350/21727972_886015991562811_3693003541033731939_n.jpg?oh=17607c3668b151a2eab9515ac069dd5f&oe=5A56B0B2 https://scontent-lhr...

Re: Rumba Rapids

Rumba always closed at about 5pm on Fright Nights, so for them to close it completely is a bit surprising, but hopefully it doesn't mean anything bad. #KeepRumba

Re: Fright Nights

The more I hear about Fright Night's the warmer I become to the event. Its all beginning to get rather exciting. But I'm more interested by Platform 15 than the Walking Dead, as I really want to know what they've done to it.

Re: Rumba Rapids

I can see the logic behind the decision, but at the same time i'm like, "But Tidal Wave is still open". It does seem like the park is closing a ride early each year, with Flying Fish closing earlier the year before and although it isn't obvious, it could be they are planning to start its w...

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

Ok that image is pretty awesome, so thank you for sharing it.

The trains are going to be interesting. I hope they aren't too in your face but at the same time I hope they stand out amongst all the wood.

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

Well given that the plans showed a horned creature as the statue and with the trademark being filed for The Wicker Man, i would hazard a guess and say that this is what they planned.

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

It was mentioned at the SouthParks Summer Sizzler event. Some areas of TP are looking rather unloved so it would be really great if they could just refresh some areas. I think it will be more TLC style as opposed to Dragon Falls overhaul. I hope they really use the year out to their advantage.

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

It is a rather impressive looking themeing element and it does look like it is sticking fairly close to the original planning documents with regards to it which is pretty cool.. I for one am more excited over this piece of themeing than the ride itself.

Re: Fright Nights

The biggest issue I have with Thorpe Park's mazes is you can't really tell much from the outside and they put the fences just far enough to not reveal too much but keep people wanting to know what's happening. Its rather frustrating :lol Sanctum does look small from The Swarm, but I don't know if th...

Re: Fright Nights

I have to say I am a bit surprised about the amount of negativity surrounding Thorpe's announcement. On the one hand people were saying last year how the Lionsgate mazes had had their time and they needed a change - whether that be a new IP or new in house mazes. It's no secret that Platform 15 did...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

I like the 2016 version for one reason only and that was seeing a TNT delivery van get caught up in the action. That always made me chuckle, but I do prefer the 2017 ending as it is slightly more realistic and no matter how many times I watch it there is always one bit that still makes me jump.
