Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Come on the 20th, but come to the Scaremazing event. It's always such a laugh and you will meet some wonderful and friendly people.

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

The only saving grace for these pods is the fact that they will be a cheaper accommodation option, but I doubt they will actually be much cheaper that Splash. Another problem I have from the star gazing geek side is that most children during the summer months will likely be in bed before it gets dar...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

A thought about this At Dungeon. If it happens, I wonder if they will run any Lates like London and York.

Re: The Walking Dead: Living Nightmare Extreme

Living Nightmare was only opened as a temporary replacement. We should count ourselves lucky that they even opened a maze at all :)

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

My inner astronomy nerd is going to come out now but for good viewing conditions you need to be somewhere dark with practically zero light pollution affecting the view. If they are going to do try to do this than they will need to lower the amount of light pollution produced by the resort hotels and...

Re: The Walking Dead: Living Nightmare Extreme

Saw Alive has been in rehearsals today and staff have said that they are hoping to have the attraction open on Saturday which explains why Living Nightmare is closed

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

The Welcoming isn't scary at all, but its visually stunning. It is by far AT's more impressive looking maze. It isn't meant to be a scary attraction, more an immersive one and it is worth doing as its such a joy to see the theming in it. If you haven't experienced House of Monsters, than I highly re...

I watched this too. It was really interesting to watch. I don’t know when it was filmed but gave some lovely views of Knightmare as well!

Re: The Walking Dead: Living Nightmare Extreme

If Living Nightmare is open, it won't be the extreme version that opened earlier in the year. It will be similar to the version that opened for Fright Nights where its more about the immersion as opposed to the scare.

Re: The Boiler House

I don't remember what happens in it but I did it when it was in the Black Hole tent. I can remember descending the stairs and it built the tension. At the time I was petrified of scare mazes and all I remember is it being dark, dingy and actually quite scary. I would say it was a lot more intense th...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Now, about the hearse. In complete honesty, I think it's getting a bit old now. It needs at bit of that fancy Merlin TLC (even if it does take a year or two...), and of course, the addition of the new Gretyl character. And they really don't need to bring it out so early as this.  It's always brough...

Re: Rumba Rapids

It's because of the horrible event that happened at Drayton Manor where a child died :(. It's mainly for school trip season as the same has happened at Alton Towers.

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

I only did it in 2015 and 2017 and both times were with TowersTimes, and I have to say that 2017 was so much better for me. 2015 I had a really bad run last thing and it sort of fell a bit flat. But 2017 I had some bloody good runs on it and made to jump and I even screamed once I think?

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

What would be incredible and very clever and charming is to use the Alton Ancestors and put them up in the windows :lol

Re: Evermore

Oh wow, this looks absolutely stunning. It looks like it could become really personal the more you visit and love the idea of guilds. Its sort of merging Role Playing with games like Fable and Skyrim to create a world that could be quite magical. I bet this would be stunningly eerie during Halloween.

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Assuming this theory is correct, which is highly unlikely, I could see it happening at the front. I'm no expert on the towers ruins, and I'm purely just assuming there is access to some or all the windows that face the lake, but its always good to speculate (and wish)!

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

On the one hand, I think a Dungeons would work really well at AT. Yes its technically another brand and will probably be upcharge, but Dungeons are quite a popular historical educational attraction and could probably get extra income during open season from schools, as some school trips do try to ad...
