Re: Merlin General Discussion

I’m not talking about one specific park though. The discussion was if Merlin are leading the UK industry, which they clearly are when they have Alton, Thorpe, Chessington and Legoland under thier belts. No matter what my personal opinion is, I can’t deny that the ride quality at these parks is far s...

Re: Merlin General Discussion

You're right, Merlin parks are in another league financially, which makes the way they are operated even more embarassing. It's more than an embarrasment really, it's pretty much a disgrace. I do though have some good things to say about Merlin, they certainly do theming better than BPB on most pro...

Re: Merlin General Discussion

It looks like Mandyland will really be leading the way in terms of UK theme parks before too long. I prefer it to the Merlin parks already before yet more cuts come to them. I wouldn’t say a park who have failed to install a brand new coaster for the past 24 years is really anywhere close to ‘leadi...

Re: Scarefest

If buying tickets at the door (I have a 2 for 1) How early would you recommend getting to the park? It depends how you want to do it. If you want to do mazes earlier is advised but not necessary. So long as you’re expecting a bit of a queue for the ticket purchases and for the maze tickets you’ll b...

Re: Scarefest

They will not let you enter if you admit to being under 15. They will immediately ask you to leave the maze - I know this after seeing it happen last weekend. :)

Re: SeaWorld Orlando

It’s nice to see something new here! Whilst for me personally this had nothing on Volcano Bay it was still a good park, but this addition is definitely going to improve things. Hopefully it’ll bring back visitors from Volcano Bay as that’ll help with both parks, adding visitor numbers here and maybe...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

They stamp your hand, just let the staff at the gates know and they’ll be happy to help! :) They must be doing it differently to last year. I'd have thought wrist bands would have been easier though. It’s because stamps can be done once and then if people would like to leave again they’ve already g...

Re: Scarefest

To be fair I wouldn’t be so sure, it’s always best to book ASAP (definitely book Welcoming online, you can do that here ) however I managed to get a ticket into Mine Tours 5 minutes before the time slot! Whilst this is probably due to it being the first weekend it was extraordinary how few people we...

Re: Scarefest

I would expect it to return, just in a different location. They don’t spend money on great theming to use for just a year! :P Now... I’ve just came back from Scarefest and done 2 mazes, Mine Tours and The Welcoming. I’ll give a spoiler free and a spoiler filled review below! Mine Tours Last year thi...

Well... new rumours are saying if you want to ride the Tower of Terror in its current form you better get on it! The ride is anticipated to have it’s exterior conversion start in March 2018, and set to close in September 2018. This iscto get it ready to reopen in 2019 as, you guessed it, Guardians o...
