Re: Project 42 (Nemesis Sub-Terra)

Personally I would like to see Sub Terra return. As Dan said, the park is seriously lacking in flat rides and attractions to fill in the gap between coasters. If Sub Terra was to return next season with the addition of The Dungeons, I would say it could be seen as a strong season after Wicker Man's ...

Just so you guys know. Thorpe have confirmed that's not actually from Logger's Leap. It's from Rock Express's queue line. It's just little hearted teasing

Re: Nemesis - General Discussion

oh dear, the mind wanders... loud bang, the area closed the next day so no public can see any work being carried out... I don’t think a loose item would close it off for too long, would it? I mean a phone is more dangerous to riders than the ride surely, a quick check of the impact area would revea...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Hello, Im deciding whether to do the mazes on Saturday, could anyone say whether the welcoming still contains a hooded section? And whether you’d recommend paying for the other mazes? Thank you Hooded Section: This year there is no hooded section I would definitely recommend the 3 maze ticket combo...

Re: ScareMazing 2018 - Reviews & Feedback

ScareMazing has been fantastic this year and I cannot express how great it was to see everyone again and those who dressed up. Everyone looked amazing and it was great to see some new faces as well as those who I haven't seen since the Chessington event! Nemmy ERT was fantastic. Surprisingly quick i...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Wait, they sell maze tickets in the smiler shop? Where else do they sell them? I don't think nicky.borrill meant The Smiler shop, I think they meant the fastrack kiosk opposite the arcade and behind The Smiler toilets. I don't know for sure but they could potentially sell them at the Dark Forest ki...

I've only seen it test once today, so it could be either broken again, or the park's too understaffed to run it

It may just need more testing to make sure the part has been fitted correctly

Reports are coming in that it's a broken lift hill chain and will be out for the rest of the season.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Not a great start for Wicker Man today. This is the first time I've seen a breakdown whilst on the lift hill(I know these were common in it's opening weeks). Currently still sat at the top of the lift but was lower down before a ride on the rapids. Hopefully it can get up and running later as the qu...

It would appear so unfortunately :(

Re: Fright Nights

Over the weekend, I was able to attend Fright Nights on the 5th & 6th. Overall I was aiming to do the mazes a few times to get an overall idea of how the event operated and how far they have been able to stretch with the attractions/mazes. They had 11 designed attractions to try out and I was ab...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

So i visited the park on the 7th for Scarefest to try out the new/altered mazes, night rides and mainly see how it compares to Fright Nights. Scarefest and Fright Nights being the big 2 theme park Halloween seasonal events in the UK, which event would come out on top was my main query.  In this sect...

Re: Fright Nights

Can I just ask DJ why you liked Do or Die so much? I haven't been to Fright Nights but it just looked like black walls (and less theming than Sanctum) and repetitive "scares". When you compare Do Or Die to the other maze attractions on offer, it's actually different and offers something m...

Re: Fright Nights

Just a quick post with some thoughts on the first public opening, a fuller more indpeth post will follow in a few days based on today and yesterday. A few cons, the thing most feared has happened in that quantity over quality, not a lot of the mazes really stood out this year compared to last year w...

It has definitely been altered which I'm annoyed about.

I think the Fanta Carnival is only there for the first weekend so it does seem a bit of a cop out/ backtrack
