Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

With closures on quiet days and now these restrictions on top, the offer is getting very poor to guests.

Re: The Future of Sonic Spinball

TBH moving it to Thorpe seems the logical thing, but we need a good sized family ride to replace it, the ride may be pants, but it is very popular.

Re: SW9

Merlin need to stop ripping off their customers, charging high fares for a lineup which has shrunk. Yes the TLC program is great, it just shows how badly they have invested in the park over the years. I really hope SW8 brings the crowds back and Merlin start investing in more rides rather than accom...

Re: Duel: Retheme, Replace or Remove?

The ride does not need removing and a re-theme would kill what we have. We don't want it turned into the crap laser ride like the one at Legoland. It just needs the effects fixed, trommel needs to turn. The new lighting is wrong for the ride so you get to see parts you should. The bats no longer tur...

Re: SW9

Having the entrance in FV will indeed flood the area. However for those people who do not like walking or have push chairs etc, that is one hell of  steep hill to get up if you are going from the car park to the Skyride. Plus if they are planning on closing the Towers Street Entrance then all the mu...

Re: The Future of Nemesis Sub-Terra

The problem they have with the ride is: -High running costs due to the number of staff needed -It is not popular, once you do it once, you don't do it again -Too expensive to re-theme -Park is not busy enough to spend money on it I am sure if The Smiler crash didn't happen and the visitor numbers we...

Re: SW9

The monorail adds something special to your day. But if they build on the car park and put in the new entrance, look at the space they will gain: -monorail depot = space for a large new dark ride -old entrance plaza, remove Corky and put in  new larger family coaster -Car park has more than enough s...

Re: Duel: Retheme, Replace or Remove?

I think you under estimate the size of Duel, they don't have the space nor would they get planning permission to build such a huge building in the DF

Re: Dark Forest Gerstlauer ?

There is a lot of wasted space in the Dark Forest, even if they keep Rita & Th13teen, they can easily squeeze in a couple of flats

Re: SW9

Towers again and again manage to pull out the impossible, nobody would have thought that Nemesis, Oblivion and the Smiler could be built at a park with so many restrictions. The Smiler shows you can fit lots of track and have a thrill ride with a very small footprint. I am against building on the ca...

Re: Ride Downtime

I believe Thorpe is much worse for ride reliability. Every time I visit Thorpe, one of the main rides is always down and in most cases multiple rides are out of action. Towers does seem to be more consistent. Yes rides have to stop, but they generally are up and running quickly. My main complaint ab...

I hope they don't do a Towers and just grass over it or replace it with a blow up pay stall.

Re: Alton Towers - Offers, Vouchers and Discounts

I'd wait a few weeks for the AT tickets to be given out.

Last year I got Splashlandings hotel for £55 on the first weekend of Scarefest which was a bargain

Re: The Future of Nemesis Sub-Terra

Charlie should be re-themed and will be a successful all year round attraction. As for Sub terra, it is OK as a filler attraction, but for what it costs to run, not really worth it. What would be good is to have this as a peak period attraction, opening at Scarefest/Firework and during the school ho...

Re: CBeebies Land Hotel - 2017

If you are going to be blunt...

Hotels make money and rides cost money to run.

However people come to the park for the rides and experience, so they need to get the right balance. All I can see at the moment is a huge spend on accommodation and the bare minimum on rides.
