Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

No idea why they thought they needed to change the Inferno and Colossus themes, they have always been fantastic as is. I agree, iconic themes should have been kept. It’s odd though as in the making of video it can be heard that they say colossus and inferno were kept the same, which they haven’t be...

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

Usually, for new attractions, they don't offer Fastrack straight off. I expect VIP holders will be the only exception to this rule. If they do, then I'll be looking to Fastrack as I'm not looking forward to queuing on opening day :lol It’s an interesting subject, Fast track essentially costs the pa...

It looks like the sound tunnel isn't solid, therefore you'll be able to still see through it.

I’d disagree, when zoomed in it appears internal from the wooden timber they have blacked it out.

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

The lovely folks over at Attraction Images have flown over Alton Towers and it is understood this was done using aircraft rather than a drone. It shows tunnel roofing being completed and a last/mostup to date look at the site before the big reveal tomorrow.  https://i.imgur.com/S3OEb19.jpg https://t...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

In a shocking turn of events no one could have predicted  Its closure has been strongly speculated for months due to it being closed since mid August. It seems that they can no longer find an insurer that is willing to cover the ride :( I hadn’t seen anything of it, seems neither had others as they...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

In a shocking turn of events no one could have predicted, BPB have indeed closed the famous Wild Mouse, which has been confirmed in a statement from BPB themselves published by The rollercoaster club of Great Britain -  “STATEMENT FROM BLACKPOOL PLEASURE BEACH After very careful consideration and pl...

I wish they still did behind the scenes tours and lift hill walks! Nice Photo!

It was on of those things that I’m glad I didn’t give a second thought too. I have lots of images on hard drives from Tours and experiences that I looks forward to sharing.

Re: Dine all day

I think with the recent cuts and specific T&C’s applied to ADD the pass has become too restricted. I think for 2018 the pass needs to be seriously rethought, with more options or prices that reflect opening hours, much like it does at Scarefest. Also with Towers closing many of the mid way food ...

Whoa, good picture! Is that paint on the back wall? I really hope the Maintenace Shed is used for something other than being a holding section.

I do believe it is paint, black is an interesting colour which may suggest we may see something happen going through there, perhaps a finale, who knows?

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

The maintenance track is actually made of steel, and looks more like a Vekoma style track where the upstop wheels sit on the rails, and not the running wheels so they can be maintained. Wooden coaster track is so custom made, they probably have lots of spare in case a piece was bent in to the wrong...
