Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

Depends on how busy it is when you go to how long it takes (and if your with a child who wants to do the character meet and greets) I suppose. Off peak, doing extra magic hours I'd be surprised if you hadn't seen everything by the end of day 2. Looking at satelite pics of the park, it looks like the...

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

Given the insane hotel capacity of DLP, they could do with making an effort to fill the parks with enough to make it somewhere to go to for a full holiday rather than a weekend. They also need to buy out the area outside the park from the French Government. Weaving between dodgy street traders (that...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Unless they expand the theater size to at least double the capacity I can't see it being Pitch perfect. A show every 25 minutes would destroy the performer's vocal cords and 700 seats is too small for something every 90 minutes.

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Sad to see it go because of the memories but its aged too much now (when I went last year the 3D hadn't been set up properly and got double image the whole time).  It's kinda hard to know what 'high energy' franchise they could go with. How to Train your Dragon? Would be a bit dissapointing that bei...

Re: Orlando & Tampa Trip Help

Depending on where you bought your Disney tickets, register for My Disney Experience and link your tickets.  The free park photos are great (be sure to download them as soon as you get home, they're not permanent) . Book your fast pass for Frozen, 7 dwarves, Avatar now if you can (they may already b...

Re: Walt Disney World - Epcot

Sadly, they're moving even further away from the old concept. Innoventions is going, the post ride spaceship earth is going, the dancing fountains are being relocated to the lagoon and they're planting lots of trees instead (guessing the new pathways are designed to spread people around the park a b...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

Decades ago Universal were allegedly planning a themepark a few minutes down the road that was torpedoed by concerns over the marshland wildlife so it's not unthinkable they'd consider branding a UK park. I can't see them just doing a hands off licencing only approach. Licensing Universal Properties...

Re: Walt Disney World - Epcot

Hope they can fix the length and immersion issues from the DLP ride, won't take much to turn it from a good ride to a great ride. Strange there's no info on the Guardians ride. Lots of places saying that the existing building is going to mostly be the queue and pre-show with an extension added. If t...

Re: Walt Disney World - Disney's Hollywood Studios

Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway confirmed as the replacement for the Great Movie Ride. Going to be styled around the current Mickey Mouse shorts and will use some neat (probably projector based) technology to make the world around you look like a cartoon, but in a real 3D world.

Re: Walt Disney World - Disney's Animal Kingdom

It's a franchise that people have lost interest in, opened years before the sequels are going to come out in. Was always a bit of a strange choice. The flights of Pandora sounds like an amazing ride to me but "Like soarin but better" is a tough sell for the general public and the River Jou...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Screamscape reporting that the dueling dragons could be replaced by a powered inverted coaster along the lines of Arthur and the Minimoys and the How to Train Your Dragon ride.  Seems a good idea. The Gringotts Bank coaster showed how popular a big budget family coaster can be. Does leave the park p...

Re: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom

Looks to be an amazing coaster based on the PoV vids I've seen.

The speedway was great when you were a small kid but lost all charm the second you learn to drive and it took up huge amounts of space, was coasting off of nostalgia

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Everything about the Mario Kart ride sounds mindblowing so I'm trying to think of a way it can be implemented that's realistic. Cars like the Ratatouille vehicles that are trackless and free roaming yet have Spiderman/Transformers levels of motion for spinning, jolting when hit and simulating high s...

Re: Walt Disney World - Epcot

Exciting stuff for Epcot, already my favorite Disney park and getting some more rides is always good. Seems like a massive amount of work to focus on one park mind, 3 new rides, and half a dozen or so complete rethemes (some of which sound like they could get reworks on the level of Frozen) for a pa...

Re: London Paramount - General Discussion

Disneyland Paris was Eisner's baby and he was a terrible CEO who could have destroyed Disney. I think it would have done much much better in the UK than France for a multitude of reasons. I think the fact that you're just a boat ride from central London and an hour train ride from Brighton will mean...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Ah the evil 'cultural appropriation' strikes again! Because what enriches people culturally more than telling them that they're forbidden from exploring cultures other than their own or that you can't do things because you have the wrong language/birthplace/skin colour! My feelings about France? Wel...

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

They tried building lots of flat rides for the Studios ride and they were fairly disappointing, fairly standard rides with Disney skins. Even if they put a big effort into a new one, it would just get lost amongst those. They've got lots of untapped recent properties they could use; A Moana log flum...

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

Not been to DLP in years, Ive heard mix reviews about the state of the park and rides. Is it worth going or to wait for a few years and hope for a few more addtions? I've been a fairly vocal about the park as I went when it was close to rock bottom. Since Disney financed the park it sounds like the...

Re: Walt Disney World - Epcot

Rumours of changes and additions to the World Pavillion. Spain looks set to finally happen with a tie in to next year's Gigantic. Mexico could be getting another retheme (this time for the film Coco). Brazil is another country they're looking at adding. Also seems like the UK could get an attraction...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

If Disney build on the tech they've used in Frozen and seven dwarfs, the Avatar ride could be very impressive, much more than simply a rethemed Pirates. I am looking massively forward to Nintendoland and whatever they do for Harry Potter (although I suspect the latter may 'just' be a pure rollercoas...
