Re: Toverland

Episode 6 of The Making of Port Laguna & Avalon was released yesterday, this time focusing on the finishing touches being applied to the areas, but also providing a first look (I think) inside the dark ride portion of Merlin's Quest, along with footage of it testing alongside Fenix. QSYo1sJnYKc

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

On the above, a potential point of note is that there will actual be two drop tracks side by side, likely to increase capacity. Hence there will be a track switch just before/after the train enters/exits the drop section. This is evident in the structure of the building's framework, as shown in a re...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I don't believe it's limited to Alton Towers attractions, and I think the name just has to be linked to a ride rather than being exactly it.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Does anybody know if it’s still possible to buy solo fast tracks? If so are they still £10, can’t seem to find anything on the website. Yes it is - the majority are £5 (as per this FAQ in the Resort's Help Centre), except for The Smiler and Galactica which are £10 (assuming the page on the TowersTi...

Re: Enchanted Village Expansion 2018 - 2021

As posted on TowersTimes Facebook , Staffordshire Moorlands District Council have, this evening, deferred a decision on Alton Towers’ accommodation pods application.  Although recommended for approval, and councillors accepting the development in principle, concerns were cited in relation to the pro...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Universal have announced that there will be 10 haunted houses at this year's HHN - the most ever. They've also announced the three original-themed scare zones, with two further scare zones yet to be announced, and the return of Academy of Villains. YOU CAN EXPERIENCE MORE HOUSES THAN EVER BEFORE AT ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Music and Videos

Despite them never being officially released, the full soundtrack files for The Smiler were indeed leaked a while back. Obviously steps were taken to remove copies from the public domain though.

In a curious development, the London Resort website appears to have been taken down, with it no longer available at londonresort.info... The associated Facebook and Twitter pages do still exist though.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

As posted on TowersTimes Facebook , the resort are trialling a "lunch pass" system in Wicker Man's queue - part way through the queueline, a host can let guests out via a side gate where they will then re-enter upon their return. The scheme will be trialling for a week, with the possibilit...

Re: Toverland

Toverland have published Episode 3 of their 'Making Of' series, with this video mainly focusing on the composition of the music and soundtracks for Port Laguna and Avalon. Obviously the end of the video that shows the first sections of Fenix's track going up is now a little outdated :P RxJ1TLl5UCE

A massive concrete foundation has recently been poured for the Guardians of the Galaxy attraction coming to Epcot, which looks to include all the footers for the coaster in the new 'facility' being constructed.
