Re: Toverland

Toverland have today announced details of their 2018 plans - all of which is available to see on the 2018 minisite . Today's announcement has confirmed the recent rumours that the new area, opening in summer 2018, will be called Avalon. This is "inspired by the Celtic legend around the famous w...

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

Saw the following image on Twitter , and was intrigued by the posts which have appeared in the middle of the site. They appear to connect to the point where block paving for the queue-line currently finished, so I wonder if they may be indicative of more the queue-line's route. https://pbs.twimg.com...

Yeah, The Welcoming opens at 5.30pm whereas the other three scare mazes open at 1pm.

Re: Scarefest

There should be some availability of tickets on the day for all of the mazes, but these can sell out so the advice would be to purchase them in the morning - with the reduced opening hours for The Welcoming, tickets are probably more likely to sell out too. It looks as though tickets for The Welcomi...

Re: Mutiny Bay Smokehouse

The planning application for the works to the Mutiny Bay Courtyard was approved yesterday, with the council generally seeming quite pleased with what’s proposed as it provides an opportunity for more guests to appreciate the listed building.

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

I love the look of this ride, it will really stand out against AT's selection of coasters... however... I hope they age down the rock work though, it really stands out at the moment against the wood at the moment. A good deal of moss and dirt would look great and wrap up what looks to be a great ri...

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

Any actual fire effect would presumably be located at the top of the theming structure (which is made from metal), well away from the wooden structure of the coaster itself, potentially to create a fireball effect that mimics the 'head' of the figure in the trademarked logo. However, if actual fire ...

Re: Little BIG City Berlin

I believe the next one will be in China (Beijing if I remember correctly). The 'LITTLE BIG CITY' trademark was registered with the UK IP Office just over a week ago also, so one in London probably isn't too far off either.

The key developments include: the theming structure, continuing track work, progress on the pre-show building, and themed rockwork on the concrete walls underneath the pre...

Re: Scarefest

Some photos of The Welcoming have been posted on TowersTimes Facebook - an intriguing observation is that there is a black board with white symbols on the right-hand side of the stage which appears to say 'FEED THE FLAMES' https://image.prntscr.com/image/XjviPBKKRG_5EWbaTS1T7A.png

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

Indeed - there's a video in the MAP Facebook group showing as such. In less exciting news, it also appears that the wood framing is in place to pour the foundation for the games stall opposite the ride's entrance.

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

I wonder what they have been up to today whilst the parks closed.. if anything at all. There have been suggestions elsewhere that Towers have taken advantage of the theme park being closed today by filming promotional material on the construction site with the 'head' uncovered - presumably this wou...

We have what I believe are the plans originally submitted to SMDC on our archived SW6 site, however the layout they show does appear to be what was built.

Correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the inner, modern train just moves into the other section and then just moves back at the end?

Yes, although I think that makes it all sound simpler than it actually is :P
