Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

As a season pass holder, does the £10 upgrade for exclusion dates include Scarefest? It would be nice to only have to pay £10 entry + £20 for scare mazes rather than the £50 combi...  Yes, it’s possible for Season Passholders to book the £10 extra day tickets for Scarefest (and Fireworks) dates onl...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

While the staff working on Wicker Man were given guidance on how they could present themselves as Beornen, in terms of the way they behave and speak, I don’t believe they’re expected to remain in a certain character for the whole duration that they’re working on the ride, as ultimately they’re not i...

Re: TT Summer Festival 2018 - Reviews and Feedback

Hard to believe this was now a week ago! I think I was on such a high from the weekend that there weren't any post-meet blues in sight this time around :P Was a really enjoyable day, from the ERTs (some more expected than others) to the afternoon talk, as well as the Battle Galleons takeover and the...

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

Here's the plan I referenced earlier - the blue dots are what are referred to as "telescope positions".

Will these pods also come with telescopes and star charts and maps I wonder?

Shown on the plans are three "telescope positions" in the central green area. I expect that would mean three telescopes, which isn't really a lot when you have 102 keys with a few guests in each pod.

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

TowersStreet posted some pictures earlier today showing that some areas of The Smiler's queue have been cleaned recently – hopefully this is just the start of a whole load of much needed TLC for the ride.  Had literally been stood in the queue at the weekend thinking the area in question could do w...

Re: ‘Stargazing Pods’ Accommodation Discussion

Not that there was really any doubt in relation to the name, but a UK trademark for "ALTON TOWERS STARGAZING PODS" has now been filed.

Re: The Bear Grylls Adventure - Birmingham NEC

Tickets are now available to book  for dates from Monday 1st October  - seems it will actually be £20 (not £25) for the four Basecamp activities. Standard and Premium Merlin Annual Passholders can get 25% off various ticket packages, while VIP Merlin Annual Passholders can get 50% off. Those with M...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

I'm a little apprehensive about the addition, and I think one of things I'm struggling with, is that I can't imagine the facade, particularly if it is for CCL /  CatCF. I've thought a similar sort of thing. Clearly, The Towers themselves would perhaps be the most fitting location for a 'Dungeons', ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I wonder why they've done "People per boat", rather than "Maximum people per boat". I could potentially see that causing some confusion Seems the interchangeable panels say "maximum" before the respective number: https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/37390723_2...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Thanks! Does anyone know if there are exclusions to this offer when the season pass exclusions apply? If it is an Alton Towers Season Pass that you have, then you can purchase the £15 'Bring a Friend' tickets online . As it is possible to select any date the theme park is open (excluding Fireworks)...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

I’ve got a season pass but want to visit in August and October. How do I pay the £10 upcharge? Do I pay at the gate or is there a way to book it online to guarantee entry? All help will be very much appreciated. You can book it online by taking the steps that you would to purchase a normal admissio...
