Re: What do you think should replace CCL?

After hearing that Merlin have gained attraction rights to Peppa Pig, I see an opetrunity for them to open a ride or attraction in CCL to this theme, possibly a dark ride in CATCF building perhaps? I think it makes quite a bit of sense, and Merlin will already have been able to see how popular Pepp...

Re: Merlin General Discussion

Huh, That's odd, I wonder what caused Merlin's stock to fall, I mean The themes parks have been doing well, But I guess it's the midways that have a fallen atttendence this time. Could it be because of the increase of terrorist attacks? They reported only 0.3% like for like growth in revenue, with,...

Re: Enchanted Village Expansion 2018 - 2021

The presentation from Merlin's Trading & Strategy Update held earlier today makes reference to "Alton Towers Barrels", so this could suggest some changes to the approved Enchanted Village expansion plans as they only detailed additional lodges.

Re: Legoland Windsor - The Future

At today's Trading & Strategy Update, Merlin announced that a 'The LEGO Movie Land' would be added to all LEGOLAND parks from 2019, with the accompanying visual perhaps giving some hint as to what attractions may be included: http://www.towerstimes.co.uk/staff/lewis/misc/legomovieland-visual.jpg...

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

Maybe we could see a return of the weird Smiler sheep things! I can’t imagine we’d see them pull the same stunt, however I expect there’ll be some sort of PR stunt in the run up to or to coincide with the main announcement, given that so far the marketing campaign has followed a similar structure t...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

I think the more interesting aspect of the article is where it states that “LRCH executives also revealed that partners and intellectual properties would be disclosed by the end of the year” . If we do indeed get an announcement of several brands and IPs then that will be a reassuring step, however ...

This article features a fairly complete walkthrough of The Welcoming, excluding the hooded section - obviously don’t watch if you don’t wish to have it spoilt.

Re: SW8 Speculation and Discussion

Updated the alphabet with the new numbers, and corrected the L which I'd interpreted wrong from the previous image (where it was very hard to make out). It seems Towers made a mistake with the runes, as the L rune in ‘Feed the Flames’ has now been changed to what you originally had... https://www.t...

From the photos I've seen, I believe The Welcoming enters on the side kind of opposite Heave Ho, and then will exit on the SW8 side.

Here's a photo of what the screens are showing, posted in the MAP Facebook group - there appears to be a few new runes, which I would guess complete the phrase "Be Chosen in 2018". https://scontent-lht6-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/22154356_1568877306492654_171518708157949201_n.jpg?oh=69a64bf6d...

It isn't really possible to know how strictly the age rating will be enforced in reality until the event begins, however the resort have said on Twitter that the hosts will request ID from anyone they believe to be under 15.
