Re: SW9

Rita should go, and invest in a new Intamin Blitz coaster with 3 launchs, utilising the area Rita currently uses, and where UG Swinger and BoneShaker used to be.. this could potentially be a pretty long and well themed ride for Dark Forest.

Re: People Smoking Outside Of Designated Areas

No ones opinions are incorrect or correct as they are opinions and never ever be worried about sharing it @nicky.borrill. Smoking and Vaping is a high 'trigger' for many people and it gets conversation happening. Whilst I don't think vapers should be made to use the smoking areas, I do feel that th...

Re: People Smoking Outside Of Designated Areas

Those ‘cloud chasers’ have a lot to answer for. Before sub ohming, and cloud chasers, most indoor places allowed vaping, it was inoffensive and didn’t cause anybody any bother. Then some folk started going too far, blowing out giant plumes of thick, sweet smelling, vapour and all hell broke loose. ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Those festoon led lights don’t look great in the day do they? But they do look georgeous at night IMO  I’m a vaper, I don’t do it in queue lines, I sometimes have a quick suck, not enough to blow anything out, but that’s it... However, I do not use the designated smoking areas either. I use e cigar...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

6 years now and... Well... basically nothing. I dont think this is going to happen. Shame. I see why you say this, but there’s been a lot of projects in the past that have taken a very long time to achieve. Not necessarily in this sort of entertainment, i.e video games, movies, cars, etc.. And like...

Re: SW9

Rita is finished, it is a very boring ride now compared to what’s about now, it was good at the time but now irrelevant. A Mack Multi Launch would be a very wise idea as Mack are getting such good reviews with their coasters. However, I do not believe Coaster corner will be used as it’s just a junk ...

Re: Drayton Manor

Sad times.. that ride had a very unique element that only a handful of coasters have in the world.. will definitely miss that lift, and the tight as hell top hat! such a shame, but hopefully Drayton can pull something out that is reliable and a thrilling family ride

Re: Merlin General Discussion

I think what doesn’t help Alton Towers is that people don’t want to keep going from one coaster to another, I have friends who hate coasters but love flat rides, which is slowly becoming a struggle due to queue times and removals of flats. I know this subject is talked about a lot but if Merlin inve...

Re: The Swarm

Forgot to mention, that gears sheering and breaking isn’t really a major problem, can be easily fixed and can literally be done in an hour or so.. well, dependant on the type of gear I guess haha. And if that’s true about the chain.. must of done a lot more damage than originally thought.. but if tr...

Re: The Swarm

If the noise you describe is a smashing/grinding noise, then that will most likely be the gearing, as gears are designed in a way that when under maximum to increasing tension the gear will sheer, resulting in the gears teeth seperating from the gear itself and causing a very loud uncomfortable nois...

Re: PortAventura World

The calendar is still not going past December :( Anyone know the roundabout opening date after the new year? Can’t wait to get a trip booked up! You will most likely find that the parks will close for a good 2/3 months, however they are closed quite a few days this year in December, and then Januar...

Re: Drayton Manor

Jesus.. yeah I can see why they need to remove it then.. whenever I’ve been the rides only run on 1 train, for the past few months I believe.. is such a shame.

Hopefully whatever problems DM are having can be resolved in the future, would hate to see this park lose it’s way

Is it?? It’s one of the best attractions there.. if it is being replaced, then a major coaster is needed to replace it

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Recommendations please - planning a trip to Blackpool, I’ve never been before and need a recommendation for a hotel (something that won’t break the bank preferably) There are a good few B&B’s around the area of Blackpool more towards the Big Blue Hotel, they can be reasonably cheap dependant on...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

I was gonna say.. when I’ve been there 3 times this year Icon always had a big queue, and was constantly full. I would of assumed Icon is one of the most successful rides at BPB considering its had mostly positive feedback, wouldn’t say it beats the big one or Valhalla possibly but it’s definitely u...
