Hong Kong Disneyland

Hong Kong Disneyland Once again hello from China, I’m currently typing this on a train heading for Xi’an and considering it’s 4 hours long, I may as well type up a report from Hong Kong Disneyland, the second park on my trip, when I’ll upload this, idk when I have a computer probably. (I upload...

Icon VS Wicker Man: An Honest Opinion

Right, this maybe a controversial coaster nerd statement, as pretty much everyone I've told has responded with things like "Don't worry, opinions can be wrong" and "Whats wrong with you?" But, I want to just put it out there for the world to here, because I just have to say it. I...

Re: Wicker Man Reviews & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Finally rode Wickerman for the first time today and let me just say WOW I LOVED IT, I did it back row and middle row and they were both fantastic experiences, a world class coaster and my first wooden coaster! I think I still prefer Nemesis in terms of layout, but overall, this is my fav ride in the...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

I was at the park today with a few theme park fans when this got announced, one of them got on the phone and talked to someone who apparently works in higher management. According to them it's going where Charlie is and will have its layout changed, with the elevator being the first thing you enter,...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

I'm kinda betting that the 2 drop sections will be slightly different from each other, with them having different audio effects, still quite an interesting development happening! Also I had no idea they were planning something else for Jurassic Park, I wonder if it maybe a Flying Dinosaur clone or s...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

Apparently there is a strong rumor going around that Thorpe's next coaster will be a B&M Mini Dive, which I kinda hope not! Hyper or RMC!!!

Re: SW9

I've had a few thoughts, but I do think the next SW will be aimed at teens/adults, with SWX (SW10) another thrill/family. Reason being, SW5 Air (high thrill), SW6 Th13teen (family thrill), SW7 Smiler (high thrill), SW8 Wicky (family thrill), so if the towers are going by this model (which I think is...

Re: Alton Towers Magic Making Museum

I went for an interview at the Magic HQ at AT a few months ago and around the corridors they had various posters one the walls showing concept art for Hex and Air, there were also models including one of Splash Landings dotted around. Maybe they could move these into a new building so everyone can s...

Re: Last Game You Played and Your Rating

Rise of the Tomb Raider (PS4) - 8/10 Very solid and thrilling game, a little challenging in a few places but overall a great follow up to the 2013 game. Ratchet and Clank (PS4) - 9/10 A jam packed fun fest with great humour, characters and overall fun gameplay. Plus its currently free if you are on ...

Re: Ferrari World - Abu Dhabi

From what I'm told by friends from the park, Mission Ferrari is having a few tweaking issues that they need to iron out (apparently they have been having rollback problems). The original opening was this summer, but its apparently being delayed to at least October. Shame, but hopefully it'll be grea...

Re: Dubailand

Ambitious plans for a 20th Century Fox World theme park in Dubai are on hold due to concerns about oversupply, according to Mohammed Khammas, CEO of Al Ahli Group. It was due to be completed by 2020, but work has yet to begin. “We've realised that there’s now a serious supply of theme parks in Dubai...

Same here Justin, Suffolk represent! I've also never been up to Blackpool, the place is just too far away. Sure, the same with Alton, but Blackpool is another hour and a bit. If I do head up there it would have to be for a long weekend trip hitting up other places. I've also heard from people that B...

Re: Going to Towers alone...

I did a short solo trip a few weeks ago, most of my visits to a theme park are solo, it's nice as you can go at your own pace, however after a few hours, it does hit you and you feel a bit lonely. Sometimes you make conversation with random people in the queue, but other than that its mostly a day w...

Re: SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

As the Warner Bros Park is finishing its construction, Seaworld Abu Dhabi is expected to break ground later in the year.

The Yas Island group is currently under restructure and my friend who was working on the parks design has unfortunately left the project, so no more inside info I'm afraid!
