Re: Six Flags Dubai

https://michaelg379.files.wordpress.com/2018/04/640-39.jpeg Interestingly enough, one of the current Six Flags China parks (Zhejiang)  layout has been revealed, showing a resemblance to that of Six Flags Dubai, with there being a coaster hugging the entrance, a few shot towers, stage, Ferris wheel ...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Same here Justin, Suffolk represent! I've also never been up to Blackpool, the place is just too far away. Sure, the same with Alton, but Blackpool is another hour and a bit. If I do head up there it would have to be for a long weekend trip hitting up other places. I've also heard from people that B...

Re: Going to Towers alone...

I did a short solo trip a few weeks ago, most of my visits to a theme park are solo, it's nice as you can go at your own pace, however after a few hours, it does hit you and you feel a bit lonely. Sometimes you make conversation with random people in the queue, but other than that its mostly a day w...

Re: SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

As the Warner Bros Park is finishing its construction, Seaworld Abu Dhabi is expected to break ground later in the year.

The Yas Island group is currently under restructure and my friend who was working on the parks design has unfortunately left the project, so no more inside info I'm afraid!

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

What are the chances of it being one of the new concept Intamin inverted/sit down duelling coasters: http://www.amusementinsider.com/2017/11/connected-track-spotted-for-dueling.html They had to stop duelling the dragons, this would make a great replacement. 0% chance, the support style is the sit d...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

By the look of that one big support structure, I'm thinking this will be an Intamin Blitz and will be in the Family/Thrill bracket, so everyone can enjoy it. So in the same style as Cheetah Hunt and Taron, a perfect fit for the park!

I just wonder if it will be a forbidden forest theme...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

A video has appeared online of DBGT:RotD in its testing phase, it shows how the transfer track works and where the trains go.

Pretty interesting I think!

Team Edit: Since the video has been removed from YouTube, we have also removed the link to it.

Re: Project 2020

If it is a Hyper, I could personally see it fitting it in where Loggers is now and have it travel behind Inferno and turn around by Rumba Rapids. That or have it do something Gatekeeper/Fury 325 style and make it travel around the dome and bridge. I'd personally be very happy with either to be hones...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

I imagine some of the small plots will be for backstage offices and storage/maintenance areas.

But then again, some plots could be for hotels and some maybe for the early stages of them buying up more plots of land.

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

Very exciting times ahead for the resort! Looking at the land size for this place, you could easily squeeze in 2 new parks here as well as a small waterpark! There is also a strong rumor going around that Super Nintendo World will be built in this new park for 2023 and a Pokemon area will open in th...

Re: The Haunted House Monster Party! - New for 2019

I also think this is a great ride type and name for the ride. If it was a drop tower, little kids would probably not like to ride it and if they did, would come off crying. Same with the rides name, 'Ghost' and 'Haunted Housed' while being a cool and simple name does imply a scary experience and fro...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DZyZSB-UQAEVpZV.jpg Here is the image from that tweet. Having a look at those supports kills the rumours of a Mack Suspended ride like Arthur/Dragon Gliders, which is a shame as I think universal could have made a great ride using that system but oh well. The supports do...

Re: Dubai Parks & Resorts

DPR received 2.3 million visitors last year, had initially counted on welcoming 6.7 million in 2017, but failure to achieve those targets has prompted the company to cut ticket prices, reduce costs and focus on the local market to drive growth. But the resort does not plan to cut costs further even ...

Hong Kong Disneyland's castle transformation has apparently been pushed back from 2019 to 2020, the Ant-Man ride from 2018 to 2019 and completion of the Frozen themed land has been pushed back from 2020 to 2021.

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Maybe to allow extra space?

On another note, I had a ride on Smiler last Tuesday, it was quite rough in places, has it always been like that or have I just got lucky on my previous rides?
