Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019?

I think the CATCF building makes sense to me. I'd like to see the boat element utilised , although I feel it's unlikely. After seeing Wobble World turned into House of Monsters I have great faith they could make a fantastic job of the retheme. The facade could clash if CCL stays as a kids area thoug...

Re: Wicker Man Reviews & Discussion [SPOILERS]

It is a thing of beauty, but I must agree with you about the tunnel :) While it is suppose to represent death and darkness, I would like to see some lighting effects under the track, giving the appearance that the track is burning underneath. :) Exactly what I thought when I was sat for what felt l...

Re: Alton Towers Magic Making Museum

I'd absolutely love to see something like this in the park, when we visited Efteling last year they had one set up for their 60th anniversary and it was lovely to see all the amazing past props etc, there was also a section based on visitors memories to the parks (and we all know that Alton love the...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Blackpool isn't necessarily the nicest of places to visit but I have a soft spot for it after visiting many times with my family when I was younger and I absolutely love BPPB , it's got a kind of charm that nowhere else I've visited has, part of which is probably that it's not owned by Merlin! Now I...

Re: Your 2018 Theme Park Goals

Due to being sensible grown ups this year my plans are somewhat less fancy than I would like them to be , however- Disneyland Paris one final time with our APs (done in Feb) Ride Wickerman (done) Decide which Wickerman merch to purchase. Buy the new monopoly! Day trips to Chessington, Thorpe and Leg...

Re: Land of the Tiger - New for 2018

I definitely agree with so many other people's comments, the ride looks lovely and I can't wait to see the station in person , but what on earth were they thinking with the dragon tunnel? Maybe something they can look at again in future so it doesn't just look like a vaguely dragon shaped piece of t...

Re: Planning- Netherlands/Germany 2018

Of the parks you're planning to visit, the only one I have experienced is Efteling. It's a wonderful park and I'm glad you're spending more than one day there as it's definitely a two day park at least, if it's busy when you go you could even spread it over a day or two more tbh if you want to see ev...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I don't think it's quite so drastic as that, all the non enthusiasts on my Facebook are super excited to ride and probably won't visit for a while when hopefully all the teething problems will be sorted. I think it's important not to overstate the drama on this, the ride is great and Alton are tryin...

Re: Wicker Man Reviews & Discussion [SPOILERS]

I was apprehensive after the events of the weekend that I wouldn't actually get to ride, however I visited the park briefly this morning and finally got on Wickerman! And a lovely sunny day to boot! (In my opinion)... Is it the best ride in the park? No. Is it the best wooden coaster I've ridden? N...

We had this debate on park yesterday and compared this year's map to last year's, it is indeed smaller this year.
