Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Towers Ruins Projections All day until late The Towers Gothic ruins are rumoured to be home to a number of supernatural forces – do you get the feeling somebody’s watching from the windows? This is freaky because I could of sworn I got a pic of what looked like someone looking down from one of the ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Having an Alton Towers Annual Pass which excludes most of October, and having this closed Tuesdays/Wednesdays (which are my only days off), means I've probably done my last trip of the season and I didn't even know it at the time :)

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

It's not just Wicker Man that has that 'issue' with the chain lift, a fair few GCI's have a strange rocking motion from time to time. I wouldn't think it's anything to be concerned about.  One thing that was mentioned in the presentation was some slight changes have been made in the last couple of ...

Re: Adventure Island

Feel kinda bad posting in a thread which has been inactive for four years but while down in Essex I took a visit to this park and loved it. Rage the only major coaster at the park is really smooth & a highly enjoyable short ride, Dragons Claw I love and is always a ride I go on at local fairs &a...

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Hereditary - 8/10 Go into this movie with expectations low, if you jump on the hype train you'll probably feel let down. This is not a jump scare movie & is simply a psychological horror so bear that in mind before judging it as "not scary" if you plan to see it.  It is a slow burner s...

Re: Drayton Manor

Your missing Pandemonium from your list :D Mine would have to be:

1. Maelstrom
2. Pandemonium
3. Apocalypse Stand Up
4. G-Force (simply because the lift hill is unique to the country)
5. Stormforce 10

How old does that make everyone feel.

Can't resist a ride on The Smiler, the rickety mass entanglement of steel that it is.

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Deadpool - 6/10 Nowhere near as good made it out to be. Sure it was still better than most DC films but just wasn't that funny or exciting. The actual promotional marketing of Deadpool 1 & 2 were far superior than the actual movies, this is pretty much factual. Whoever worked on the marketing m...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

I do believe this will become the best ride in the UK. It looks incredible, can't wait to head over this spring. I haven't set a date to go up but glad people who have ridden it feel the same. It stood out from all other UK coasters and looks like an all round crowd pleaser. Now we'll just have to ...

Re: Going to Towers alone...

Would love to make a solo trip to Towers one day, just to see how it is with no one else! It's nice to be with people but it's nice also not to be. My solo trips are blissful, it's my day I go wherever I want, take however long I want, avoid certain rides if I want. I'm actually heading for a solo ...

The way this tears around the track almost looks unreal because of the new design. I can't wait for PoV & reviews of this thing.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Seeing on-ride POVs now in the dark it seems the on-ride photo is between the first & second sound tunnels, that dip.

Looks amazing but that tight turn after the second sound tunnel especially in the dark looks to be the highlight of the layout for me, it whips to the side fast.
