Isn't the current construction by the Enchanted Village to do with a Santa tipi for Christmas?

Could be in this case but I'm sure Tipis are a part of the development of the Enchanted Village.

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

The Killing of a Sacred Deer - 8.5/10 This is the second movie of Yorgos Lanthimos that I've seen and for me personally, he is a director/writers work I'll follow very closely from now on. The first movie was The Lobster which was genius, funny, original, whacky. This movie is basically a black reve...

Enchanted Village expansion...

The Enchanted Village expansion has already begun construction I'm assuming for a launch next year.

I have read also there will be a large £18 million / 250 lodge accommodation site in a nearby quarry 4 miles away subject to planning permission approval.

but the storyline was absolutely appaling! What the hell were they thinking!?!? It was beyond shocking. That is the sort of idea that gets rejected at the first brainstorm. They've gone back to basics. Hearing from guests directly what Alton Towers Resort means to them, how it makes them feel, the ...

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

Without the accompanying video, this really doesn't say a lot apart from it's a theatrical experience over a world first & safety after The Smiler is paramount which we kind of know anyway.

Not sure if it's my end but I can't play the video at all on my phone or laptop.

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

doesn't look like much in the maintenance shed Could be just that, a maintenance building. I think I've said before but with it being a wooden coaster I'm not sure how maintenance bays work for those, I've not been on enough to fully know but with steel, you can do switch tracks to an outer building.

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

Elliot Crawford who is the guy in the promotional videos has tweeted here . This is nothing new but posted hours before the 31st for me hints that we'll be seeing exactly what happens on site on Halloween. I'm thinking similar to CCTV / DBGT video. Perhaps a video where we see construction workers a...

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

So ahead of tomorrow in which I expect some reveal I watched the original 1973 version of The Wicker Man. Obviously, it's almost pretty certain Wicker Man will be the name of this attraction and in terms of every other attraction in the world, this at Alton Towers will be globally unique. These are ...

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

I saw it for the first time at the weekend and I can and can't see why everyone is going crazy over this. Its a wooden coaster and we are able to watch it being constructed but I couldn't help but feel it had been very over hyped by enthusiasts. For enthusiasts who visit AT regularly of an adult ag...

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Thor: Ragnarok - 6.5/10 The best Thor movie so far. This one has an entirely different feel to it to its predecessors, it's colorful and it is intended as a comedy as the jokes simply run throughout among every character, to a point a little too much comedy. The only way to describe this entry again...

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

So with that translation, I'm more inclined the backstory of the ride is to do with what I posted back here . Fire, Cleansing, Pheonix, Rise from the Ashes, Rebirth of Man (not sexist, back to a simpler time.) While this doesn't sound too exciting for a ride backstory if this is to be the case is ac...

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

Not to do with speculation but going into the source code the font used for the website text is Plague Master

The video tbh was a let down only because they mentioned in the next video there would be on site footage, hopefully, though the videos come quicker now.

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

I think I already know the answer to this but my car was broken into & wallet stolen which had my Premium Annual Pass in it, there isn't anything Merlin can do is there? Am I going to have to purchase a new one now? I believe lost passes can be reprinted for £10 but your best bet would be to ch...
