Re: Project 2020

Adding to the above, I.P 06 could well mean this will be the 6th IP attraction Thorpe add alongside Lionsgate, Angry Birds, I’m a celeb, DBGT and TWD. Just an idea :)

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Skyscraper: 6/10 Typical narrative that is made exciting by Johnson’s performance. Lots of exciting looking CGI and pyrotechnics. An easy watch disaster movie. Hotel Transylvania 3: 6/10 I loved the first two instalments, and this one doesn’t come anywhere near. It lacked the usual humour, and combi...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I visited this weekend and unfortunately the chain was still doing that. It was my first time on the ride and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Bag drop is still an issue, batching in to the pre show is still an issue as hursty pointed out, there isn’t enough room in the station. Also, the staff w...

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

The incredibles 2: 7/10 This was a good film, and I thoroughly enjoyed the focus on Jack Jack and the many humorous sections. However, I can’t help feeling a little disappointed that it didn’t live up to ‘6 year old me’s’ expectations! a few gaps in the narrative, nothing major, but I look forward t...

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Hereditary - 2.5/10

Awful film with a broken narrative, that actually had me falling asleep and considering leaving half way through. The trailer makes this film look so promising, but just like A24’s other recent horrors, it’s a huge let down and completely overrated.

Re: Merlin Entertainments file a UK trademark for ‘The Alton Towers Dungeon’

I must admit I quite like the sound of this idea. Look forward to hearing more. Could this be a potential life line for Nemesis Sub-Terra I wonder? Certainly hope so! :)

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom - 8/10 A big fan of this franchise so I had to see it on opening night in 4DX! Overall I thought it was another excellent addition, with a refreshing storyline and superb acting for the whole cast. The new director absolutely mastered the suspense and horror in the fil...

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

A Quiet Place - 8/10 Solid modern horror with a great cast. The suspense built with the music and lack of any serious dialogue is awesome, and something I was weary of at first. The monster/alien was a great bit of CGI, although very similar to other classics. I hear a sequel is in the works and loo...

Re: Hong Kong Disneyland

Wow, disappointing to hear that pretty much all developments have been delayed. Can’t say I’m a fan of the castle makeover either.

I just hope that we get a family coaster at DLP off the back of this :)

Re: SeaWorld Orlando

Seems a bit... random... I have no doubt that it’ll have a decent budget and they’ll make it look right, but I don’t see how it fits in at all. Disappointing.

Re: Escape Room Attractions

I have done several of Room Escape Southend’s rooms which have all be scare themed, and really enjoyable! I have also done Room Escape London which had a ‘Steal the crown jewels’ theme. Totally different experience, but just as fun. Same as Dom I have a list of different attractions around the count...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

It seems strange that they have introduced the ‘live actor attraction’ category, but TWD:TR doesn’t include this. With it being the year of the walking dead and the new ride themed around them, surely it would be standard that we get actual walkers within the attraction? Unless they have some sort o...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

If that’s the case, that’s pretty poor marketing on Thorpe’s behalf. Their social media campaign says: “Reckon you have what it takes to take on #TheWalkingDead Immerse yourself in The Walking Dead: The Ride only at THORPE PARK from Easter.” Easter 2018 is Sunday 1st April, so if it’ll be opening a ...
