Beauty and the Beast (2017): 8/10

Great cast, great soundtrack and nice refresh of a classic, even though at time it was near identical! :)

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

I agree with Lakey, it just doesn’t seem very... exciting? The layout is pretty meh compared to what we’ve seen achieved by this manufacturer, and our ever growing expectations. The fact it has no real theme is a shame as these coasters can utilise and increase ride experience dramatically. It’s gre...

Re: Towers Loving Care

Loving the fresh look for TTC. I’m so glad Towers Street is having the makeover, hopefully it’ll bring back some of the magic :)

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

The Midnight Man- 4/10 Despite the trailer making this film look a rather promising horror, this was such a let down. The acting was poor, and any sense of mystery/fear of the Midnight Man himself was lost within minutes of the first interaction. The Bye Bye Man - 5/10 More of a thriller than a horr...

Re: Warner Bros World Abu Dhabi

Dubai seem to love a simulator/screen based ride. With the kind of budgets they have I’d love to see them invest in some great quality coasters... hello B&M? :P

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Downsizing - 5/10 I loved the concept when first hearing about it, and as mentioned previously the first half sets the storyline great. However it all goes downhill from there and makes a lousy attempt at building a love story... if that’s what you’d call it? Had I paid to see this at the cinema, I ...

Re: Silver Dollar City

It looks like it’ll be fun, but I feel they chose spinning cars as a gimmick. This layout could be much more suited to a standard launch coaster train.

Re: Towers Loving Care

I think it looks great! It’s not quite the same, but a welcome makeover that has restored the ride to its former glory :)

New horror film due out in June 2018 called Hereditary: https://youtu.be/YHxcDbai7aU

This premiered at the Sundance film festival, and has received critical acclaim! The trailer certainly looks promising, so I look forward to seeing this when it’s out :)

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Coco - 9/10 I took my little sister to see this, with very ‘meh’ expectations. However I was incredibly surprised by just how good it was. A fantastic Disney film, great storyline, characters and lovely and colourful. Actually very emotional, and you have to admire the accuracy and realism in relati...

That’ll be a cool little addition, the water park does need some serious investment, and this is at least a small step in the right direction :)

Re: Knott's Berry Farm

The drop looks so ugly! Wonder why they chose to design it this way... unless it was due to using the infinity coaster trains?

Either way It looks like it’ll be a fun, typical Gerst layout :)

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Insidious: The Last Key: 8.5/10 I love the Insidious series, and this seemed the perfect ending to them... although I have a feeling it won’t be forever! Lin Shaye delivers as always, and the mix of light hearted comedy and very intense scenes make this an all round entertaining horror. It had a gre...

Re: Winter Wonderland - Hyde Park London

Having visited the other day, I observed that Wilde Maus XXL had a VR upgrade option for an extra £2, which apparently lowered the main price(I may be wrong).  Did anyone try this at all? Curious to see what VR would be like on a travelling ride like this. When I went there were signs in the token ...

Re: Winter Wonderland - Hyde Park London

So with Winter Wonderland now closing its doors for the season, it’s time to look forward to what may come in November 2018! I only visited once this year, and my main bugbear was the layout. I have always admired Winter Wonderland for designing the layout to cope with the crowds, but this year it f...

Re: theparklifekid's Middle East Adventures!

What an unusual park! I guess when Gerst and Vekoma provide your headline attractions, it’s certainly not going to turn the heads of many thrill seekers, but for the equivalent of £3 you can hardly complain with some of that lovely theming and facades! :)

Thanks for all the lovely messages guys! Unfortunately life’s just a bit hectic at present and I’m not having as much time to devote as I’d like. It fills me with pride to have been part of such an amazing team and community, but I’ll still be around and look forward to seeing some of you at our 201...

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

So it's officially booked! 5th-8th January! Very excited as it will have been 15 years since my last visit, so I'm looking for any advice on things to do and see, I'm sure plenty has changed since :D Awesome! (I'm a little jealous :P) While Disneyland Park itself hasn't had many new rides - the onl...
