Re: Scarefest

Hi :) This year Sub Species has two possible endings, each of which is different. The first ending (going through the left side of the bridge at the end of the dark section) is the ending featuring the crawl tunnel. You can do the short version of the tunnel if you get this ending - just kee...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

That logo has actually been out a while now, as well as the name 'London Resort'.

Ultimately, I think this name and logo will very much be a placeholder for the planning process. If the Resort goes ahead I fully expect that we will see a different name depending on the new partnerships they form.

Just a gentle reminder that any speculation regarding the area in which SW8 will be located can be discussed in its own, dedicated topic

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

This makes me so, so sad and angry at the same time. Why do Disney feel the need to butcher a ride which has beautiful theming and still attracts significant queues all year round? In my eyes it will be totally unforgivable if they go through with turning it into Guardians of the Galaxy. Yes, I get ...

Re: Cedar Point

The track for Steel Vengeance is now complete! Cedar Point Twitter have posted a short video showing the incredible scale of the first drop and a stunning overview of the coaster. I think it has to be one of the only times I've been lost for words to describe a coaster!

Re: Cedar Point

The track for the first drop on Steel Vengeance has started to be placed over the past few day. All I can say is wow - it looks like it is going to be pretty incredible to ride!

Re: Scarefest

As reported on TowersTimes Facebook , a new teaser trailer for The Welcoming: Be Chosen has been released by the Resort which suggests that at least part of the maze will include a hooded section. Also in the trailer, we are given a brief look at a set of four runes - three of which we already know ...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

As reported on SouthParks News , London Resort Company Holdings have announced and agreement with MBNA Thames Clippers to provide River Bus services along the River Thames to the proposed London Resort. Whilst I am still skeptical about this project going ahead, I will admit that this seems to be a ...

Re: SW8 Construction Discussion

TowersTimes' latest construction update is now live over on TowersTimes News and includes updates on the central theming feature, the addition of themed rockwork, and general work across the site. Below are a selection of photos from the article. I have to say, having seem it in person at the weeken...

Re: Rumba Rapids

If I'm honest I can't see the closure of Rumba having too much of an impact as with it being a water ride it was rare that it had a queue of any significant length during Fright Nights anyway. I'm also sure this isn't the first time the Resort have closed the Rapids at this time of year, if not clos...

Re: Fright Nights

I paid a visit to Thorpe yesterday afternoon which gave me a chance to see what preparations were taking place for Fright Nights. In terms of The Walking Dead mazes there isn't ,much that can be photographed for them. Where Living Nightmare will be located, in the former home of Cabin in the Woods, ...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort

It seems that it is 'Hasta la vista, baby' to Terminator 2 3D at Universal as the Resort have confirmed that the attraction will be closing on Sunday October 8th to make way for 'an all new live action experience based on a high energy Universal Franchise'. The press release was posted by Thrillgeek...

Re: Fright Nights

It's always a difficult one as whilst as enthusiasts we'd love Thorpe to follow Alton's example and use all in house concepts, ultimately Thorpe's main target are going to be drawn in by the big IPs. Like others, I do have concerns about how the mazes will be received by those who are not familiar w...

Re: Fright Nights

I have to say I am a bit surprised about the amount of negativity surrounding Thorpe's announcement. On the one hand people were saying last year how the Lionsgate mazes had had their time and they needed a change - whether that be a new IP or new in house mazes. It's no secret that Platform 15 didn...

Re: Fright Nights

SouthParks News now has a full round up of today's announcement , including details of both new The Walking Dead Mazes. From a personal point of view I do find the choice of The Walking Dead as an IP an interesting one. Whilst it is less popular than it once was, the show does still have a significa...

Re: Area Speculation and Discussion

As things stand, based on the information we have, I am leaning towards thinking we may see some form of re-theme for at least part of Mutiny Bay. However, exactly what this will be I'm not 100% sure. With the re-development of the Courtyard, and the removal of the stage for the Pirates of Mutiny Ba...

Re: Scarefest

With The Welcoming: Be Chosen being constructed in Mutiny Bay Courtyard, one thing I am wondering is if we are only going to be seeing this maze for one season. With the new F&B outlet being constructed for next year surely this means that The Welcoming will not be able to go in the same locatio...

Re: Alton Towers - Offers, Vouchers and Discounts

A word of warning for anyone who may be looking for cheap deals for Theme Park tickets. The Resort have today posted a warning on Facebook about a website called 'UKGroupDeals' who are supposedly offering park entry and fastrack at a substantial discount. This website and offer is not genuine, and t...

The trains for Slinky Dog Dash have been delivered to Hollywood Studios today. I have to say that on first look they look pretty good and I'm looking forward to seeing how they look on the ride itself. http://i.imgur.com/67DZ3n1.jpg Credit to @Eftelflags on Twitter and Ziggy Knows Disney Save Save

Re: Scarefest

If the MB Courtyard is the location for the new maze then it is going to be interesting to see how they manage it. There's quite a few things they need to account for: 1) The Skyride traveling overhead - although if this maze isn't opening until 5:30pm then this shouldn't be an issue as the Skyride ...
