Re: Warwick Castle

Just to confirm for anyone, the Castle Dungeon hasn't been included in the Warwick Castle Annual Pass for quite some time, if ever :) Thanks for clarifying that Jack :) I must be thinking way back when the secondary attractions were Ghosts Alive followed by Merlin Dragon Tower which were included i...

Re: Warwick Castle

Warwick Castle are the latest Merlin attraction to re-launch their attraction only Annual Pass. Instead of the single tier pass previously on offer, the Castle now offer an off-peak and a peak annual pass . Both passes do have restrictions on the dates they can be used with the off-peak pass only be...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

As I've said before, I wouldn't be too worried about things at this stage. It's not unusual to have a quiet marketing period after the initial announcement. Towers will be wanting to time things just right so they can peak the hype and interest for opening day. If we haven't had any further marketin...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Having watched that video I'm not overly impressed by it. It seems to lack some pace, but that may just be because it's a simulation rather than the actual coaster. For me there's just something missing, but at this moment I can't quite place my finger on what that is.

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

Of all the possible options to turn an existing ride into a Marvel themed attraction this is probably the best compromise we cold have hoped for. As Chris mentioned, the area of the park R&RC sits in is in desperate need of a refresh so hopefully this announcement will mean some significant work...

Re: Disneyland Resort Paris

Good news for fans of the Tower of Terror at Disneyland Paris!! ED92 are reporting that Tower of Terror will be undergoing a period of refurbishment from May 21st until March 2019. As part of this, the attraction will be surrounded in scaffolding and themed tarpaulin whilst the facad is renovated to...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I wouldn't be too worried at the moment, Even if the Resort are aiming for a 17th March opening for the ride it is still a little too early for the final phase of marketing to kick in just yet. The Resort will need to get the balance between creating the initial hype (which they did at the start of ...

Re: Cedar Point

Cedar Point have posted a new blog today giving an update on Steel Vengeance . In it they detail some of the work still left to do including on the station and queue line areas. The post also includes some good photos which shows us some of the best views of the coaster (I shall be making a note of ...

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

It's being reported this evening that Busch Gardens Tampa have indefinitely closed a number of attractions in the Jungala area of the theme park in an effort to cut costs. As part of the closures, the entirety of the Treetop Trails section of Jungala, located towards the back of the park, has been c...

Re: Walibi Holland

Well, of all the wooden coasters in Europe I never imaginged that it would be Robin Hood at Walibi Holland that would be the first to anounce it'd be getting the RMC conversion treatment! Having been fortunate enough to ride Robin Hood in 2015 it is a fun little coaster, so I have high hopes that RM...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Whilst The Walking Dead may not be to everyone's taste, it is good to see Thorpe staging so many events throughout the entire year, including the very welcome return of the summer late night openings! It will be interesting to see how well these events do, and which will carry an additional charge. ...

Re: Liseberg

It seems to be going up quite quickly now, although I can't help but think that the project seems a little behind if Liseberg want this open for the start of their season. I really need to get out to Liseberg once this is open to experience this and Helix which I am also yet to ride.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

How come some of the costumed uniforms don't require ID lanyards? It'll be to do with the overall look of the costume. For example, when I worked at Warwick Castle I was required to wear mediaeval costume, therefore a modern day lanyard and ID card would have looked rather out of place. However, ev...

Re: Walt Disney World - Magic Kingdom

It would seem we have an opening date for the new Tron Coaster! According to WDW News Today , construction on the new addition is due to start in just 3 days time on February 6th with a view to the rollercoaster being complete for August 16th 2021. This projected date will give the park a little bit...

Re: The Alton Towers Park Map

At the other end of the spectrum we have the 2005 map: https://www.towerstimes.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2015/05/2005map.jpg 2005 was the year of my first ever visit to Towers and I remember looking at this map before I went and it making me think that the park wasn't that big and I'd easily be able ...

Re: Wicker Man Construction Discussion

As for Alton asking for the Video to be taken down is like shutting the stable door after the horse has bolted.  It was an embarrassing video, lets just hope that the actual speed of it is faster than it looks when riding it, otherwise we just have kids rides available for ERT I have to disagree wi...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Whilst I was expecting some small staggered openings, I didn't think it would be anything like on this scale. I thought we'd get FV and CBeebies Land on ERT, then X-Sector, Katanga Canyon, Mutiny Bay, Gloomy Wood, and Wicker Man at 10, followed by DF, Hex and CCL at 11. I'm not sure if it is a decis...

Re: Cedar Point

It would appear that Cedar Point are considering joining the list of parks adding Virtual Reality to one of their rollercoasters with their their website confirming a trial of VR on Iron Dragon , their Arrow suspended coaster. The trial wil run daily from 9th June - 4th September with the VR element...
