Re: Parc Asterix

Parc Asterix have announced that they will be getting a new rollercoaster for the 2021 season. The announcment, made on French TV Channel TF1 , confirmed that the park is working on a LSM launch caster, similar in style to Taron and they are hoping to incorporate new elements that haven't been featu...

Re: Oblivion - General Discussion

Whilst Oblivion may not appear to have as much to it as some other dive machines, just remember that in 1998 when it opened, it was the first of its kind anywhere in the world. As with anything that's the first of its kind, the technology behind it will have been very new, and limited in what it wou...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

As stated in the article, the information is from a meeting held between the Government Planning Inspectorate and LRCH on 9th March of which details were made available to SouthParks last night. I'm afraid we can't link to the source as it's not a source that can be linked to. I can assure you that ...

Re: Cedar Point

Cedar Point have issued an update on Steel Vengeance via their blog. They have confirmed that the ride will operate on one train whilst RMC make adjustments to the ride. To cope with the extended wait times the Park have said they may issue boarding passes which will give people a return time with t...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Does anyone know what that stage is in the mutiny bay/welcominn courtyard is? I saw it again today and I’m really interested in finding out what it is. Looks incredible! That stage used to host the shows for The Pirates of Mutiny Bay. Sadly there hasn't been a pirates show for a few years now which...

Re: Cedar Point

Steel Vengeance has been confirmed to have operated on one train today, with the Park handing guests boarding cards with a time window on to enter the queue. All of these passes had been distributed by around 1pm local time. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DciSyWgWAAAc3KJ.jpg I have to say I am surprise...

Re: Cedar Point

Midway Mayhem posted a short video a few minutes ago regarding this which contains a small amout of more detail. From what they have been able to find out, the 'bump' was low speed - in the 5-10mph range, and there have been no injuries. It would seem there has been some damage to the track and sen...

Re: Your 2018 Theme Park Goals

Been meaning to post in here for a while but kept getting sidetracked! Anyway, here is my list of aims this year, some of which I've been fortunate enough to have already done and others are already in the pipeline :) - Ride Wicker Man both in the day and at night (Done) - Visit Blackpool for the ve...

Re: Black Buccaneer

I was there last Saturday (28th April) and there were what looked to be new supports in the pit for Black Buccaneer laid down flat. I'm hoping that this means we'll soon see it make a return, although there isn't any firm news as to when that coud be.

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

Great... so nothing interesting happening except for a more congested train every day..... I just noticed that TTSP have now posted this as news about a hour after I posted the link - so assume that the post informed them of the announcement...  Thats all you need to know about the popularity of th...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

Whilst all this 'Project 0' stuff is intriguing, I would be cautious as taking it for definite or reading too much into it at this stage. Whilst we know Thorpe do like to place Easter Eggs in the run up to large developments, we also know that they like to mess with enthusiasts. Just remember that w...

Re: Cedar Point

I know I've said it before, but it just looks incredible! Having a quick look through some of the media coverage from today the reviews all seem to be very positive so far, although of course the real test will be when the ride opens to the GP. It just looks to be a stunning coaster - I really hope ...

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

According to ThrillGeek on Twitter , Busch Gardens Tampa are due to make a big announcement next Monday (30th April) with the only hint being given in the email they've sent out being 'Thrills are on Tap'. With the recent markings being spotted on Gwazi could this announcement be regarding the futur...

I'm afraid not. The only Fastrack is bundled in with the Gold and Platinum package, or with a VIP Merlin Annual Pass.

Re: Cedar Point

In a blog post posted earlier today , Cedar Point have announced that they have slightly increased the height limit for Steel Vengeance to 52" (approximately 1.3m). The ride previously had a 48" restriction (approximately 1.2m). It's certainly an interesting move from the park, and suggest...

Re: Six Flags Fiesta Texas

We've been given the first look at the trains for Wonder Woman Golden Lasso in a Facebook Live video posted by the park earlier today. I've managed to take a screenshot, which although not the best quality, gives a look at the train for those who may not be able to view the video: https://i.imgur.co...

Tony Clark has tweeted some images of completed Steel Vengeance signage this evening . First we have the ride entrance: http://i64.tinypic.com/2zfsb3l.jpg Then we have the ride name sign - I can see me wanting to take lots of photos of this with the train going along the track in the background! ht...

Cedar Point have just posted a new video showing the first riders on Stee Vengeance - General Manager Jason McClure, and Director of Communications Tony Clark: doU7vBEVFJA This ride is just looking more and more incredible with each video that comes out! One thing I did notice in this video is the r...

Re: Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Wonder Woman is now testing on three trains as shown in this video which has been posted to YouTube sm2FW_IbKow As with previous tests, it is looking very fast! Even with three trains though I do have some concerns regarding the ride's throughout with the trains being single file in design, I think ...
