Re: Thorpe Park - The Future

Sorry to say this but the last Merlin coaster was Kung Fu Panda Master which is Fabbri spinner :lol But anyway, b&m to produce smooth, good reliable coasters. I mean, if you want to get technical ;) https://imgur.com/l5ETde5.jpg Hardly any better, but there you go. If they want to work with (sa...

Re: Dragon Falls Tiger Retheme - 2018

Seeing all the construction for myself last week, it's becoming a lot more real and exciting for me. As a local, Dragon Falls was one of my favourite attractions at the park, and has always had some kind of magic around it, which was enough in itself to make me more than happy to sit on it and appre...

Re: Thorpe Park - The Future

Am I the only one who thinks a Mack hyper coaster is a more likely option than an RMC or b&m hyper? Mack hypers would look impressive for GP and would still be a forceful, fun ride experience. Maybe moreso than the RMC, but I'm not sure I'd say a Mack Hyper is more likely for the future than a ...

Re: London Entertainment Resort - General Discussion

the Great British Bakeoff Megacoaster etc. It's been a long time since I laughed that hard. :lol I agree that the park has such great potential, and I think we're so close to this becoming a reality. There's no way the company has signed this many contracts without some serious proof that they can ...

Re: SeaWorld Abu Dhabi

Just a thought, As this park is fully indoors, I'm assuming it will take Ferrari World's record of 'World's Largest Indoor Park'? I'm fairly sure Ferrari World doesn't hold that record anyway. That would be IMG Worlds Of Adventure if I'm not mistaken? That said, if the figures on the Wikipedia page...

The park's app is suggesting that the maze may be back next year, contrary to what many of us thought:

Re: What do you think should replace CCL?

I'm doubting that they'll remind the house of monsters theming, as it seemed to be very popular and well built. August is the main time when families come to the resort so dismantling the play area at that time seems like a bad investment in my opinion. Also, wobble world always seemed to be unenjo...

All three are accepted. The Junior Boomerangs are probably just about in, I probably would have said no, but then I realise I can't refuse things like Raik, so they'll all have to be valid! :P

Re: Elo Coaster Ranking Project

Apologies for the double post, need to update the guidelines and can't edit any above posts. After discussions elsewhere, it's been decided that people with larger lists who may shy away from entering due to not wanting to order every item on the list, please do as many as possible in the main list,...

Re: Elo Coaster Ranking Project

Thank you both very much for the submissions, the list is already looking very interesting. I'll share a top 5 or top 10 once enough coasters pass the minimum ridership. TheParkLifeKid - Note that The Velociraptor will be listed under "Blue Fire + Clones", Preadator will be listed under &q...

Re: What do you think should replace CCL?

I think 2019 definitely should and probably will be CCL's year. The following would be very nice to see: ⋅ Overall theme - I'm not 100% sure what, but anything (even an IP) would be better than the mis-matched areas we have now. The kind of fantasy theme it's currently loosely working with...

Elo Coaster Ranking Project

Hi all, There have been many attempts by various people and organisations to organise the world's greatest coasters into a single list which determines, by popular worldwide opinion, which are the very best. However, I've found many of these polls to be flawed, as they often have bias in their audie...

Re: SW9

Also, I'm not suggesting that moderately expanding the park could lead to its closure, but if over time, the park keeps on expanding, without older attractions being removed, this would result in a larger park, that as I said above, Merlin might not, for any reason, be able to maintain. Of course o...

Re: SW9

If I'm honest, it seem s a little bit strange that so many people are convinced that Alton Towers needs a new entrance, simply to maximise space. What people have to remember is that no ride will last forever and sooner or later, rides in different ares will close and make way for newer additions. ...

Walibi Sud-Ouest ~ August 2017 Picture Trip Report

So my family and I visited this little park when on holiday in South-West France, and I decided to make a trip report because it's one of those parks that you never hear anything about, mainly because nothing's ever happening there. For those who don't know, Walibi Sud-Ouest (formerly Walibi Aquitai...

Re: GET TO THE PARK & MORE, HELP :)

As someone who doesn't visit the park regularly, I personally find two days is best. Sure, you'll probably get virtually everything done on day one, but then you have day two to get back on your favourites and just generally feel like you've completed the park. If you're going 10th/11th Sept, I beli...

Re: Heide Park

Glad to see Ripsaw's parts have been put to good use! Heide Park is struggling, no denying it. The sad reality is that few people think of Heide when they think of top German theme parks, especially as Europa Park and Phantasialand continue to race ahead of the competition. I know I personall...

Again, funny you should say about pop music, I remember in a vlog from 2014 the person was saying how immersive the music was during Howl-o-scream, only to cut to a walk way with the speakers playing Nicki Minaj's Anaconda on full volume :lol All they need now is a few tins of bright purple paint a...

Hersheypark have announced a waterpark expansion for 2018 over on their Twitter : http://imgur.com/9ayAVYq.jpg Screenshotted from their teaser video. This looks to be one of the biggest expansions to the water park since it opened, and will feature two attractions: Whitecap Racer: http://www.hershey...
