Re: Heide Park

Glad to see Ripsaw's parts have been put to good use! Heide Park is struggling, no denying it. The sad reality is that few people think of Heide when they think of top German theme parks, especially as Europa Park and Phantasialand continue to race ahead of the competition. I know I personall...

Re: Phantasialand

Woah, woah, woah. Feels like this thing was only just announced, and now we have this much construction? That's some awesome stuff! Phantasialand never fails to amaze; I have top expectations for this project. :)

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

Again, funny you should say about pop music, I remember in a vlog from 2014 the person was saying how immersive the music was during Howl-o-scream, only to cut to a walk way with the speakers playing Nicki Minaj's Anaconda on full volume :lol All they need now is a few tins of bright purple paint a...

Hersheypark have announced a waterpark expansion for 2018 over on their Twitter : http://imgur.com/9ayAVYq.jpg Screenshotted from their teaser video. This looks to be one of the biggest expansions to the water park since it opened, and will feature two attractions: Whitecap Racer: http://www.hershey...

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

Firstly, surely every theme park has attractions that some love and some hate, whilst sometimes I find enthusiasts are way OTT (I'm sure you'd agree) The times are also something you cannot predict, first you have to remember The Smiler was a big part of this, however Merlin park's overseas haven't...

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

When you want to write a post defending SeaWorld/Busch but then you see MM has done it for you. :P EDIT: and Owen has already responded to it. Wow I type slowly. :P I'll gladly admit that SeaWorld is in a whole heap of problems, financially and reputationally. But I have to disagree that, from a cus...

Re: Legoland New York

According to their latest newsletter , it looks like summer is the current target within 2019. It's crazy to think that by then, there'll be 10 Legoland parks in the world. It really is an excellent chain of parks for Merlin. I'm a bit disappoined to see that the New York park is currently only plan...

However, does anyone know if the water park will be open during this time?

According to the opening times page, the waterpark will be open as normal through to the end of the year. :)

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

Merlin resort parks work on Capex investments Large, Medium, Small, Small. And with only 5 parks in the theme park resort chain. There would only be one large investment in most years. My point exactly. Under Merlin, these parks would receive fewer investments than they currently seem to be, which ...

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

Going with what Burniel said about Merlin only doing one large investment a year. This is not true as Merlin have made multiple large investments in one year, 2011 we saw Krake and Raptor and in 2013 we saw Zufari and The Smiler. I think Merlin would still treat SeaWorld/Busch Gardens with the same...

Re: PortAventura/ Ferrari Land - August 2017

Something that I just thought of, is if I have a 2 day PA ticket with 1 day also for FL, can I just confirm you allowed to go to and from PA and FL freely throughout the day whenever you want? I'm really sorry for asking so many questions. The ticket page has a very poorly written description of wh...

Re: Busch Gardens Tampa

I seriously hope not. From what I've seen, the SeaWorld chain have lately been doing really good at doing two major investments per year: 2016 saw Mako and Cobra's Curse, 2017 saw InvadR and Wave Breaker, and 2018 sees Electric Eel and Infinity Falls. Merlin would not do this; one per year in the gr...

Re: Howl-o-ween

Yeah, as I said, I don't really know how they plan on doing that. I know I go on and on about the past lineup, but I think bringing back The Mystery Of Hocus Pocus Hall and charging for that would have been a better shout, or even Haunting In The Hollows. Both were much longer attractions for which ...

Re: Scarefest

This is the 10th Anniversary of Scarefest even though it's the 11th Scarefest, in the same way that my 10th birthday was still my 10th birthday, despite it being the 11th time I'd been alive on that date. It would be nice to see the park celebrate this, though it is indeed important that it's carefu...

Re: Busch Gardens Williamsburg

This would presumably be for 2019? Wow, that's some serious coaster investment going into that park. I wonder which manufacturer would be used. Given that there's an Intamin Giga just down the road, could be be seeing another B&M Giga? Or will another manufacturer throw their hat into the giga c...

Re: Howl-o-ween

This looks fairly promising, and means that the park actually have one of the strongest lineups they've had for a while now. I'll be interested to see how well this sells, considering that the park has never done paid halloween attractions before. It will also be interesting to see how the relativel...

Re: Largest Queue For Monorail

I've never seen my family even consider walking, even if it looks like the monorail queue is longer than walking. Some sort of strange "saving our legs" logic, even though we could sometimes be on our feet longer when queuing. It's always nice to be able to start and end the day on it, but...

Haven't been playing loads lately, but I suppose I could drag up a few from the past year or so: Euro Truck Simulator 2 - 10/10 OK, so I may be a little obsessive with this game. Essentially, you're a trucker who drives across Europe, earning money from transporting cargo and losing money from fines...

Re: Howl-o-ween

I took 12+ as a Fright Nights level attraction, as that's the number thrown around with a lot of those scaremazes. I'm no expert on such attractions, so I assumed you were referring to a high level maze, which would be far too much. Again, I think Haunting In The Hollows was about right for an "...

Re: Six Flags Fiesta Texas

I'd echo the mostly positive comments about the announcement, and I also share the concerns around the capacity of the ride. Could we possibly see separate load/unload stations or some sort of double loading system to counteract the impact of the small trains? I would hope so.
