Re: Area Speculation and Discussion

I'd really like to see a Mutiny Bay/pirate themed ride, I know many people are thinking it will be themed around Katanga Canyon, but it would be interesting to see if there's any crossover between the two areas, especially as both are considered 'family' areas, the apparent target for SW8

Re: Thorpe Park Merchandise

When cleaning my room the other day I found a brand new Thorpe Park Tidal Wave waterproof poncho that didn't look like it had been opened or worn before. I tried researching a bit on when these were available but couldn't find any information on it, how much it would be worth today or any other peop...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

Does anyone know how this system will work for people with Rise Access Passes? I'm going on Friday and later in the month, and although I doubt it will be open by then, I'm just curious about what will happen. Thanks

Re: Galactica - 2016 Air Re-theme

I've been on Galactica a couple of times now and it is actually a lot better than I expected. The graphics are really cool, I like how you can 'look around' as if you were actually there, as I partly expected just a kind of fixed film that would play but it's far better than that. I particularly lik...

Re: X-Sector refurbishment?

I'd definitely like to see the Oblivion shop re-open, I don't actually remember when it closed but I felt quite disappointed to find it all boarded off last weekend. I don't think the videos should be changed though, I really like the ones they have at the moment (my favourite video/ script in the p...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

I'm going to Alton Towers tomorrow with some family and i only just noticed they've changed the Ride Access Pass policy. Both me and my cousin have autistic spectrum disorder, and for the last several years we've used the Ride Access Passes to be able to use the rides because both me and him really ...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

This is a question from my mum that I'm not totally sure of the answer to: are the Towers open to visit, either with some kind of tour or independently? We're going in the middle of May and she'd seen some comments online (on Twitter I think) about people recently who has mentioned this. I know they...

Re: I'm a Celebrity! Maze

I haven't been through the attraction since July, and I was just wondering how the maze ends now- is the tube slide at the end being used? My group was told to exit the maze before the 'Cyclone' challenge due to technical problems and I noticed the slide was fenced off, and even when I wasn't using...

Re: As an Alton Towers fanboy/fangirl, what comments hurt yo

I personally prefer Thorpe Park to Alton Towers, and so it really annoys me when people put down/insult Thorpe or its rides.

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

I know it isn't majorly important but I'm a little disappointed with the changes to the area names. I really liked Canada Creek and Calypso Quay, and its a shame to see them go- I'm not overly keen on the new names at the moment, they just sound a bit generic to me I suppose.

Re: The Swarm

I always preferred going on it backwards, that's a shame, does anyone know why they're changing this now? I can't see any obvious reason why they would choose to change it.

Re: Thorpe Park - New Indoor Attraction 2016

If what's said in that article is true, I'm very happy; to be honest, it's exactly what I wanted. I'd been hoping for the train theme from when the details started to emerge and the 'ghost train' elements make it even better. The way it's described there sounds great and I hope that's a fairly accur...

Re: Galactica - 2016 Air Re-theme

I'll admit I wasn't too sure what to think when I saw the virtual reality confirmed yesterday. Looking into it more, however, I really like the theming, and the concept of the ride looks really cool and unusual. As much as I liked Air as a ride, it really seemed to lack theming in comparison to a lo...

Re: The original Hex pre-show storyline

Not sure if the said videos were there when it first opened but the video you described I'm assuming is this one over on TowersTimesMedia . The problem with it being so quiet on Hex now is you don't fully get the build up of the queue line which is absolutely beautiful imo. Actually sent shivers do...

Re: The original Hex pre-show storyline

I remember going on Hex on my first few visits to Alton Towers and there was always a long inside queue. I used to really like watching the videos playing on the televisions in the queue line, I was only about 8 so I don't remember too well, but I distinctly recall a man walking in the grounds, thro...

Re: The Future of The Flume

The Flume is an important part of Alton Towers for me (it was my favourite ride when I was younger and too small for the bigger rides) and it would be a shame to see it go, but I recognise that it is getting quite old these days and it doesn't have too many years left. Hopefully over next season the...

Re: X:\ No Way Out

I was with my friend at Fright Nights and since they don't like X, I went on by myself as usual and I don't recall seeing anything about that policy. I pulled the bar next to me down fully and the staff didn't say anything about it. Those restraints have been around for a while and I've not heard an...
