Re: X:\ No Way Out

Noooo..... X was the one family coaster at Thorpe, And it's by far the tamest ride I've been on. Why are they retheming it, it literally just got a refurb in summer... Also when I rode X I loved it not because it had any force or anything, just because it was a cool rave with the New IMAScore sound...

Re: X:\ No Way Out

Of course being a massive X fan I'm very sad about this (rave coaster wooo), but hopefully it'll be good. I think having an indoor horror ride next to an indoor horror ride may be a bit much and I would've preferred a revamped X with better lights, theming and audio. RIP X, forever in our hearts ;_...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Hi everyone. I really want to do Alton Towers scarefest this year but I'll be travelling without a car this time. So I know it will make sense to stay in a hotel over night, which is what I'm going to do, but I need directions on how to get To Alton Towers. I managed to reach Thorpe Park on my own ...

Re: The Last Film You Watched and Your Rating

Okja- 8.5 A very powerful film and refreshingly original. Despite the 'super pigs' being fictional creatures, the film showed some realities of the meat industry and I was a complete mess by the end of it. Definitely the most emotional film I've seen in a while and a great watch (for meat eaters and...

Re: SP Summer Sizzler 2017 - Reviews & Feedback

Thank you to the team and Thorpe for one of the best events yet, my dad and I really enjoyed it! For £18 I was really impressed with how much we got. The talk and BTS were really interesting and probably my favourite so far (and I would give my life for the stealth suit and x no way out car). The ER...

The big metal thing is going to be the building to house the secret freefall drop. It'll be the world's first wooden vertical freefall drop coaster called 12, prequel to 13 :sus:

Re: San Francisco Dungeon & Madame Tussauds

San Francisco Dungeon are planning to open a rat cafe in July (which excites me greatly) and rescue rats will be up for adoption.
I'm hoping something similar will happen in the UK at some point as it sounds fun, works with the dungeons theme and would give some rats new homes.

Re: TTSP@15 Event Feedback

This event was definitely one of the best so far. The ERTs were perfect, managed to get 8 rides on nemesis (while seeing John Wardley's jacket <3). I was very impressed by the Q&A setup, I was internally screaming with excitement at how beautiful it was and John was great. Was really nice to see...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

I think it has the right amount of scary. It is certainly more so than last year and it has a sense of tension which puts people on edge. It's much more immersive as well which makes it feel more real. This type of scary is good as if it was full of jump scares I don't think it would be as enjoyable...

Cookehs will most likely be provided but there'll be a limited number available (unless I invest in a giant sack and beard and throw them out like Father Christmas) :santa:

Re: What do you think should replace CCL?

I think it should be a very colourful dessert themed area where all the rides are themed to food like ice cream, cupcakes, chocolate etc. Also random big foods everywhere (like in cloudy with a chance of meatballs) and big sprinkles on everything and loads of glitter and a few unicorns and rainbows ...

Re: Food

I noticed that pizza pasta at Thorpe now offers "Quorn ball" pizza which is new this year. Does anyone know if other Quorn products are available in other food outlets? (at any of the parks) It would be good having veggie sausage rolls, burgers etc. for people like me who are annoying and ...

I'm loving the improvements but I'm slightly concerned about the smell pods as I'm basically emotionally attached to the old ones. Hopefully it's mostly the same smell or my nose will cry

Re: TT ScareMazing North 2016 - Reviews & Feedback

Thanks to everyone for a fantastic weekend, definitely one of my favourite events so far. Made a couple of new friends which was good as well. The BTS was great being able to see Mine Tours in detail, however I still managed to walk into a wall on my run through XD. Everyone that dressed up (and did...

I'm glad someone agrees that hobs pit deserves nowhere near the hype it had. They used: "Wouldn't be out of place at Thorpe Park or Alton Towers" yeah nope

I know that some of the bids have got into the hundreds. Even one of the smaller items is currently at £250 so I'm not very hopeful for getting anything :lol

Re: Bubbleworks 2017 refurbishment

I've heard that some items from the ride are going to be auctioned for charity, does anyone know anything about this and when the auctions start? (I failed to acquire a Flume duck and as Bubbleworks has 105 ducks, I feel I have a bigger chance of getting one)
