Re: On-Ride Breakdown Experiences

I don't think I ever posted it on here but earlier this year I got evacuated from Big Thunder at DLP. It stopped on the second lift and so we had the furthest to walk to get off but it was one of the best break down experiences ever. You have to walk along a path across the side of the mountain and ...

Re: ScareMazing 2018 - Reviews & Feedback

It was another great event and I really enjoyed meeting everyone again, I especially enjoyed breaking the Blade and the mazes. Our run through of Sub was particularly intense and perhaps one of the best run through's I've ever had on it.  I had to dash off after The Welcoming as I had booked House o...

Re: Drayton Manor

I didn't even realise that Drayton had a Pirates ride as I went this year for the first time in nearly 10 years, so I've just had a quick look at the POV and damn that is definitely a Pirates of the Caribbean knock off  :lol

Re: Theme Parks and IPs

I was thinking about this the other day and I think that if an IP can be done right it can actually be amazing. Take for example Tower of Terror this obviously uses the Twilight Zone IP but it uses it in such a way that it hasn't become a dated IP, which becomes a major issue for most parks. The rea...

Re: SW9

I'd love to see a new gen Mack Spinner like time traveller or Cobra's Curse for SW9 as it could be well themed and the through put would be insane. You could mix this with decent theming plus a bit of a dark ride section perhaps and think they could be onto a winner. This could also help to fit the ...

Re: Chessington - General Discussion

I went to Chessington yesterday for the first time since I believe 2015 and I wanted to write a little trip report on it. We did have a good day but there was a few problems with Chessington. First I'll start with the positives, the whole Land of the Tiger area is amazing and a really great addition...

Re: Project 42 (Nemesis Sub-Terra) - New for Scarefest 2018

I've been thinking about the pit where the drop towers used to go, and I think that the maze itself may not use it but it could be a break room/costume/make-up area ect for the actors? Especially because, as far as I know, there isn't anywhere to do this around Forbidden Valley as the Scare Zone use...

Re: Duel - General Discussion

I'm really happy with the overall improvements on Duel and I think as a whole they have/are doing a good job. The only thing I would say is that, after talking to some GP friends, they could do with putting a sign up on the main entrance/ doors saying some a long the line of, "A million apologi...

Re: 2015-2019: Possible Developments?

I've just read about the whole David Williams IP idea and I can see it working well. Also both David William's books and Roald Dahl's books have very similar illustrations/art styles so it would be realitivly easy to change Charlie into the new IP. Overall this is very interesting development

Fast and Furious has recently begun soft opening and it looks to be similar to Kong. The Tim Tracker has done quite a good preview/walk through of the ride but be warned this video contains spoilers of the queue/pre-show

Re: Black Hole soundtrack

So if that's the lift soundtrack, what's this one? 0OIK-iSqGb4 Why I am thinking were there two? That is the lift hill sound track that was played as riders ascended the lift and pendulum was the name given to the song. The station soundtrack was posted above and is called Station Earth. This is th...

Re: Christmas & New Year at the Alton Towers Resort

I've never personally visited due to the restrictions however like mentioned before the park looks magical in the snow and just imagine what the towers would look like in the snow. As a only a few attractions are open, which is understandable, I can see something like a Christmas market working real...

Re: Scarefest

I have a feeling that this scarefest is going to be one of the best in recent years what with the four mazes, new additions to existing ones and the all round atmosphere seems like it is starting to build. The only problem is that I don't know if we will see four mazes next year what with the courty...

Re: SW9

Moving the main entrance would free up a lot of space however I don't think that would be needed at the moment because I think towers will expand into the car park near galactica that rarely gets used first as you can argue that some of the path infrastructure is there already with the path to the R...

Re: Ride Downtime

It will most likely be that a fault has occurred that requires urgent attention and cannot wait for the closed season. Health and safety must come before guest satisfaction. Yeah most likely something urgent and if anything needs doing it is probably best to do it now before the busy scarefest/fire...

Re: Duel: Retheme, Replace or Remove?

I know duel alive was really hard to do H&S wise but it would definitely help to expand their offering for families at scarefest and could prove very successful like house of monsters, however people wouldn't want to pay for an already existing ride so I don't know if it could even be made finan...

Re: Scarefest

Although the new scare maze may market the ride wrong I must admit I do have high hopes for it because the last few mazes towers have done have been of a really good standard which I hope will continue. Also the last time they did something like this was with the sanctuary which I never got to ride ...
