Re: End of Season Review 2017

I went to Thorpe Park for two days in September and I had an amazing time. Part of it was because it was relatively quiet, though there were still queues since most of the big coasters were on one train. SAW, however, was running like a machine and was incredibly efficient. I did it four times - aft...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

I'm really not excited about DBGT, I don't quite know why. Maybe it's a good thing, I'll go on it and it will scare the hell out of me! I'm not getting the hype at the moment though. I'm the opposite - but I wasn't a while back. When it was rumoured that it would be Derren Brown themed, I was kind ...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

The BTS videos look really good. It's fascinating to see how they made the advert - especially the island scene at the beginning.

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I just checked Ride Times...and the queue for the Smiler is nearly two hours! Looks like it's getting popular again (or a train's packed in...)

Re: Galactica - 2016 Air Re-theme

Galactica is currently on a 75 minute queue...as a comparison, Rita is second highest at 20 minutes, with The Smiler on 10 minutes.

I think this speaks volumes about Galactica's current operations.

Nice advert, I quite like the future-style Towers Street at the beginning.

Re: Walibi Holland

This coaster definitely reminds me of an Infinity Coaster - I bet Mack could do some really good things with this style and I hope that this (or the Mega Coaster/Launched Mega Coaster) is what Blackpool Pleasure Beach gets in 2017. That would be incredible.

Re: Strange Dreams

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but last night I had the most bizarre dream. So it started off as an advert for Alton Towers, showing off the park. However, the park looked completely different - all the rides were right next to the motorway so you could see them, there were lots of rides that the p...

Just out of curiosity, is it just the one portal or are there a few portals around the track? I've heard somewhere that there was more than one portal.

Re: The Smiler Incident 02/06/15

I'm not sure if anyone's already said this, but if you look on the website The Smiler's page mentions the fourteen inversions, the speed and the track length, but has absolutely nothing about correction, marmalisation or even smiling. To me this seems like a sign that they're going to 'soften' the t...
