Re: ScareMazing 2017 - Reviews & Feedback

Like everyone else, I had a great time at the event - a massive thanks to the team and everyone who made the event possible! The BTS on House of Monsters, Sub Species and The Welcoming were very interesting -  it was great to see the mazes in a different way and having different features and concept...

Re: TT Spring Spectacular - Reviews & Feedback

Had a great day on Saturday. First access on Galactica was great and a good way of getting on it as a group (not sure an ERT would really work on it :lol ) The usual take-over of Blade is always an entertaining part of the events! The talk was really interesting - and the refreshments and pick-&...

RCT3 - Now on iOS!

It seems that Rollercoaster Tycoon has been ported to iOS by Frontier Developments! https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/rollercoaster-tycoon-3/id1008692660?mt=8" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Unfortunately I can not download it (Android user) but it looks pretty cool! Hopefully it will b...

Re: How do you feel about re-riding rides?

I really enjoy re-riding rides, it is great to go on the ride a few times in quick succession to get a full experience of the ride - possibly trying out a range of seats to test out the different forces on the ride. I find it is also one of the best ways to maximise the number of rides that I go on ...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach Possible Developments

I think the park has plenty of dark rides and water rides. Ideally I'd love to see a new coaster as I think this is something that is needed to draw in the crowds. Perhaps with Amanda's relationship with Mack we could see a coaster from them? A Helix style launched coaster with inversions would fit ...

Re: Best Thorpe Park Rollercoaster

I voted for Saw becaue I really enjoy the crazy drops, and I think that the themeing of the building is really good. Stealth is a close second, as I think that is a pretty awesome launched coaster :)

Re: Best Alton Towers Rollercoaster

I'd say The Smiler, with Nemesis very close behind it, just becaue I really like the whole theme of The Smiler. Also I generally prefer sit down coasters to inverted :)

I found the current Skyride theme (also used in the Enchanted Village giant book promo video) :)

Re: SMILEFEST 2015 - Reviews & Feedback

This was my first TT event, and based on how awesome it was, I will definitely be back for more! Interesting talk about the maintenance of The Smiler - especially nice to see some of the wheels. (Since Pleasure Beach have started selling wheels, I've recently become a bit of a wheel geek - so it was...

Re: List all the themeparks you have ever been to

So far I have done:

Alton Towers
Brean Leasure Park

Fantasy Island
Flamingo Land
Lightwater Valley
Oakwood
Pleasureland Southport (back when it was owned by BPB)
Thorpe

I'm also planning on going to Liseberg this year (with AvidPenguin) :D

Re: On-Ride Breakdown Experiences

I always enjoy breakdowns and evacuations, especially on dark rides because then you get to see a little bit of how the ride works on your way out :) I had a couple of breakdowns during Scarefest. I got evacuated from the garden scene in Duel, which was very fun - although I did find the evacuation ...

Re: New to the forum? Introduce yourself here!

Hi, I'm Chris :) My home park is BPB where my favorite ride is Wild Mouse. I also like other parks - especially Alton Towers (where my favorite ride is either Nemesis or The Smiler, I also have a bit of a thing about Duel). I used to only be able to visit Towers once a year, however I ended up buyin...
