Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

This year they hace changed the rules and will not be permitting any masks or weapons, what ever they are made from.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

They won't put a very successful brand in then to close it down a couple of seasons later. It will be here to stay and while it may only be seasonal, I do think they are looking at the parks long term future, possibly opening up the resort and selected attractions during closed season. This is alrea...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I know riding Wicker Man in the dark is going to be one of my highlights for sure. I'm pleased that I have some time both at Scarefest and Fireworks to get on the ride as many times as I can. I really can't wait!

Have the 3 for £20 scare maze tickets sold out online? It won’t let me select the 20th on the website.

Book on the event! We'll be there on Saturday doing the mazes and Nemesis ERT!

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I doubt they will recycle any scenes. Even when The London Dungeons moved, the majority of set pieces were new and not brought across from the old site. With regards to The Haunting, I would put money down that this is a mirror maze. They are used in Dungeons to control guest flow as the exit is a m...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

It's just disappointing that Merlin cannot come up with exciting new ride concepts. It's another horror themed attraction that a lot of people will not pay for if it is an upcharge. Alton Towers has never particularly had a 'horrible history', so I'm sceptical about how unique the attraction will b...

Re: Rate the Rollercoasters (2018 Edition)

I think it is a really good experience in the dark, especially going up the vertical lift hill and across the bunny hope.

Ahh, you beat me to it.

For £45, it is a little on the expensive side, but something that I'd consider doing.

Anyone watching Big Brother this year? Not watched it for years but really enjoying it this year. Also, the Apprentice is back on, along with Doctor Who. Some good TV on at the moment!

Re: Fright Nights

I think the event needs to be reworked again in some way and I think they could get away with another year of Walking Dead if they wanted too. Do or Die, Terror at Amity High and Big Top can stay, although I would really like to see the BT maze return, alongside the show! Make Walking Dead: Living N...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - The Future

I do believe we will see something happen to Collossus. It could be that we don't see anything new next year, instead, investment banked till 2020 with two new attractions for that year, one being a retheme and one being the new coaster! Who knows?

That is interesting. They were along the left, towards the back. Saying that though, I had to hang my rucsack on the fence one time!

Re: Fright Nights

Second day review... I experienced Living Nightmare and Do or Die for the first time this weekend, and had repeat runs, and I must agree with DeadJack... Do or Die is by far the strongest maze there and is brilliant. It builds up the tension well and is brutal in places. The actors are on point! Liv...

Re: The Swarm

No, at the moment (Fright Nights only?) the baggage from seems to be closed if on one or two trains. They have storage containers next to the fences.

The Swarm suffered downtime yesterday too, pretty much all of the afternoon.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - Quick Questions

So, I've just experienced Fright Nights 2018. By far the strongest maze was 'Do or Die' which felt like a traditional Thorpe Maze - a solid attraction with scares! Walking Dead: Living Nightmare was also good, but not the best and Blair Witch was fun. Platform felt like it was missing something at t...

Re: What do you think should replace CCL?

Now for the wait to see if it's a new ride or Dungeons. Could they fit out a new ride in six months? The 35 year old ride system can't be in good shape and would need replacing too.  They could easily put a floor over the channel and fit out sets for a dungeons tour in that time. Guess the hype/mar...
