Re: Fright Nights

To be honest, Vulcan Peak sounds no different to what we experienced. First run we had no actors. Second, 1 who just yelled once or twice and touched a shoulder. It still sounds the peak of disappointment to me!

The Pizza Pasta takeover was brilliant. I don't think they were expecting so many!

Re: Fireworks

Hi Rustyo,

We've asked a couple of people about this, but no one is sure. We would suggest contacting Alton Towers directly for an answer.

Sorry I can't help any further :(

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

My thinking into why Merlin are adding a Dungeons comes down to them trying to make Alton an all year round resort. I can see them opening The Dungeons during Christmas, Feb half terms and beyond, along with Sealife and CBeebies Land. It offers another attraction which can be ran independently from ...

I still stand by the Warwick Castle Dungeons model.

Day guests will be charged

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

They do sell tickets but these then to sell out quickly. I would recommend purchasing them online as the allocation can sometimes be greater than that of the Box Office!

This year they hace changed the rules and will not be permitting any masks or weapons, what ever they are made from.

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

They won't put a very successful brand in then to close it down a couple of seasons later. It will be here to stay and while it may only be seasonal, I do think they are looking at the parks long term future, possibly opening up the resort and selected attractions during closed season. This is alrea...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I know riding Wicker Man in the dark is going to be one of my highlights for sure. I'm pleased that I have some time both at Scarefest and Fireworks to get on the ride as many times as I can. I really can't wait!

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I doubt they will recycle any scenes. Even when The London Dungeons moved, the majority of set pieces were new and not brought across from the old site. With regards to The Haunting, I would put money down that this is a mirror maze. They are used in Dungeons to control guest flow as the exit is a m...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

It's just disappointing that Merlin cannot come up with exciting new ride concepts. It's another horror themed attraction that a lot of people will not pay for if it is an upcharge. Alton Towers has never particularly had a 'horrible history', so I'm sceptical about how unique the attraction will b...

Ahh, you beat me to it.

For £45, it is a little on the expensive side, but something that I'd consider doing.
