Re: The Walking Dead: Living Nightmare Extreme

I don't think I'll get down this half term as I am at Alton, but I'd like to give it a go at Fright Nights. It is a shame they have no plans to make it Exteme then. I do quite like the ideas of opening up mazes throughout the year, but I wonder what impact it will have on October? Who knows, it may ...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I wonder if they take cash, but not advertise, due to those not having access to a card?

While they say it is to speed up payments etc, there is a cost element involved as it costs them more now to take and bank cash, compared to card. This isn't limited to just Thorpe, but retailers in general.

Re: Ride Downtime

Does anyone know why Th13teen is experiencing a lot of downtime this season? It seems to be down more frequently.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

As posted by our SouthParks Facebook page earlier; Sticky Sisters is now open at THORPE PARK Official, replacing what was once Bush BBQ. The outlet specialises in ‘chicken wings and tasty sauces’ as well as offering burgers, and a bar. Will you be trying out the newest food outlet to arrive on the I...

Re: Rollercoaster Restaurant

After seeing this, I must say that it is really nice to see the Rollercoaster Restaurant receive an update. I know it is not much, but it shows that the park are committed to updating the restaurant with new additions. Hopefully, the show will be updated with Wicker Man footage too! :)

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

With regards to Alton, the small increase is still good, especially when considering that it was a low investment year, focusing on CBeebies.

It reminds me of an Esso advert!

I am looking forward to riding it later on in the though!

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I'd be disappointed if it was true. Then again, as Dan pointed out the other week, if the effects were being manually operated then there may be more to it? Regardless, it is a great ride :)

Re: Oblivion - General Discussion

I can understand this! Usually, the first ride of the season gets me, however, after this, I am fine and love the ride!

A simple classic!

Good old village chips. Yes, they have moved to RCR, although they can also be found in other Merlin Parks :)

Re: Rollercoaster Restaurant

The thing I quite like about it though is that the food is different to that being offered elsewhere in the park. :)

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I do agree, the longer they leave it the worse it'll be. When I was last on SAW (a few weeks ago now) I could see that a boat was near the station entrance and appeared to be covered in moss. This was the view of Loggers just under 2 weeks ago... https://i.imgur.com/AGQQeFt.jpg Sad to see it SBNO, ...

Re: Rollercoaster Restaurant

The RCR is a tradition for me now. I have to visit on every trip. I certainly think it has improved over time, although I miss the glass lids to the pots which were replaced with plastic lids early last year. It is expensive, but I believe it is the best place to eat on park.

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I love Loggers Leap, however, I am becoming less and less hopeful of it ever returning. It is certainly a good log flume, but I believe it can't operate due to it using lake water? Also, it has now been out of use for 3 seasons now, so I bet it would have suffered in some way due to it not bring mai...
