Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

As already suggested, if testing then this will hide how the coaster runs and the trains themselves. Also, the station is very close to SeaLife, therefore it will hide what is going on around that area too!

In all seriousness, I'm impressed by that wall :lol

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

This a good move by Alton as it keeps the secret. My excitement is building with every update - even if it is a wall! :lol

Re: Past rides: "Where are they now?" The Guide

First if all, welcome to the forum, Siobhan218.

How cool is that to have someone who was involved in the early days of Alton's history as a theme park. It would be great to hear more of his memories!

If they are pushed back again then I think it is game over.

Re: Project 2020

There really isn't much there. I've been in them once and that is it. Hopefully, they would place new garden area else where if the area was used!

Re: Project 2020

I'm confident a new pathway would open between Stealth and The Swarm should a new coaster be located there. It makes sense!

Re: Project 2020

I am sure it will be behind the Swarm too as groundworks have already taken place to test the viability of a coaster being placed there. If for any reason it doesn't, and Loggers Leap is removed, then it would be good to place it in Old Town!

Re: Disney to purchase 20th Century Fox

It could be that Family Guy could replace The Simpsons at Universal, therefore freeing The Simpsons. As you say, Owen, I can't see The Simpsons entering a Disney park. It could just be a silent partnership with some licences/characters cherry picked.

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

Possibly, but the trouble with my theory is that it is very much based on the Gunpowder Plot. I do think the combination of elements is more plausible. Whatever it is, I'm really excited!

Re: SW8 Speculation and General Discussion

Wouldn't it be good if the track/train acted as a fuse to the first interaction with the theming structure and then from that point the structure appeared to be on fire?!?

I could see that working with a good back story!

I wonder if the announcement will be the resort's biggest firework and bonfire display for 2018?

With last weeks snow showers, I'm sure it gave Alton the opportunity to see the site 'clean'. I'm sure they also used it as a photo opportunity!

IMAscore will send out two emails. One of these is a 'Purchase confirmation', and the other 'Payment received' email.

The CD costs £21.96 once exchange rates are taken in to account.

I've never experienced Christmas at the resort but would love to try out their festive offerings; new year in particular!
