Re: Signature creation

Hi folks. With me being such an absentee over the last months, I think it’s probably time to close this topic officially. I’ve enjoyed this unofficial role a lot, it really helped me with learning to become a much better graphic designer, however I think I’ve moved on to bigger and different things....

Re: Alton Towers Resort Opening Day Meet Up - 17th March 2018

So, is this still happening? And, if Wicker Man doesn’t open (as expected), will this mini meet be reprised/rearranged for the new opening day?

Re: Six Flags Fiesta Texas

^ Eh, I’d rather see a Raptor come to a smaller park that wouldn’t suffer with the small capacity of it. Maybe Paultons?  Anyway, it’s insane how little speed it loses! It’s almost like someone set friction to 0! If that’s how representative of what will actually open, this type of ride could be gre...

Re: Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Just seen this video of Wonder Woman testing at Six Flags Fiesta Texas... Wow. It looks like it's absolutely hauling through the course! Would love to see one of these come to Europe if it's this well paced!

Facebook Video of the test from SFFT Source.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

I find it interesting that they have an event or something scheduled for the 22nd of March - honestly, I was (and still am) expecting it to open on Saturday the 17th. It may be a soft opening for a few days before a ceremony or anything such, but I think with how early the ride was finished they hav...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Interesting to see it’s on the family side. I’ve always thought the layout is more family oriented, but it seems odd to suggest Spinball would offer a greater thrill than Wickerman...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

It wont beat Nemesis, but its starting to come together really well. Nemesis was when Wardley was in his prime lol. He has slacked off since then, or maybe just had less freedom with budget constraints and planning. I don’t know about others here, but I’d hardly call The Smiler, Oblivion or even Ai...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Calling it: it's a washing machine in the preshow :lol

In reality, I'm unsure if this is intentional or if we're looking too far into it. Could be something fire related though in the preshow, if I was guessing.

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

That video has me a lot more optimistic! That looks like a lot better speed - maybe it could run even faster on a full train? Also, the effects look pretty awesome! My hype levels are about as high as they're going to get! :lol

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I think this is an interesting idea - I’m quite tempted by it myself! Admittedly, it’s a bit on the pricey side, but it’s one of the more unique ways of supporting the park. However, I have two questions: will we get an official TTSP brick, and will we get an official John Wardley brick? :P

Dream Theater, lots of Dream Theater. Currently enjoying tracks like Vacant, In The Prescence of Enemies Pt. 1 and Breaking All Illusions. Highly recommend most of their albums - especially Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes From A Memory.

Re: Wicker Man Construction Discussion

Yikes... That testing video was an unexpected let down. The pacing was always one of my concerns about the attraction (especially seeing the flat turn halfway through the ride) but I was hoping it’d be a bit faster than that! That said, I’m hoping there’s a few factors that might change - temperatur...

Re: Heide Park

I am so incredibly relieved by this! I ended up missing the Colossos credit during a 2016 Halloween visit - I enjoyed my time there, but it was definitely a dampener on the experience. Honestly, when I heard it was remaining shut in 2017 and 2018 I was pretty worried. Luckily, Merlin seem to have de...

Halloween at Gardaland - Trip Report

Only now do I have enough time to sit and properly write this trip report. Apologies I’ve put it off so long! Gardaland - Trip Report and Review This October I finally visited another of my bucket list parks - Gardaland in Italy. I’d heard somewhat mixed reviews about Gardaland, some people said it ...

Re: Winter Wonderland - Hyde Park London

In the last week I got a chance to get to Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland. I didn’t have a huge amount of time there, but I had enough time to get on a few of their best rides. Mini r eview: First stop with obviously Olympia Looping. When I visited the ride was only running one train - however the que...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Obviously, Icon construction is well underway! Here's a few pics I got today. The first picture shows the constructed Immelmann, and the next two show the track in the car park. Someone with more time and a better attention span than me can probably tell you what bit of track corresponds to which pa...
