Re: Galactica - General Discussion

Take VR off, retheme it back to air, give the original oasis fountains etc. It should've never been retheme. The space theme can't be pulled off when you go flying past a car park. The whole Galactica retheme hasn't worked for me, and it doesn't fit.

Re: FIA Formula One World Championship - General Discussion

I must agree about Hamilton. He has changed in recent years, although I could see him heading off to Moto GP within the next few years! No thanks :lol doubt he'd compete in the support classes, and he wouldn't risk it I don't think. Motorbike racers will be able to compete in 4 wheel racing, but I ...

Re: Project 2020

Whatever it is, I'd hope it focuses on airtime over inversions as much as I love wickerman, it's a twister layout, with 2/3 pops. Maybe a hyper RMC :lol

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Would it be a good idea for a test seat? I saw 3 people have to leave the ride and it did affect it. The queue was generally moving quickly though, a train was on the lift as the other rolled onto the brake run quite consistently. The ride team genuinely seemed like one of the most efficient in a wh...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Over the last two weekends I've been on the ride four times, with three of them being yesterday and not once did I queue over 70 minutes. I wasn't too optimistic about the ride but it's honestly beaten all expectations! Onto yesterday, first time I ride it it broke down in the queue in the afternoon...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

I do too myself, mainly my phone and wallet, but when people are bringing bags which are expensive and have expensive stuff in them, they're left a target. Do people really want to leave £50+ handbags on a ride which has 3+ trains? The baggage holds were probably the best solution. Just seems like a...

Re: The Smiler - General Discussion

Seen people nick stuff at Towers before, on Nemesis which runs two trains, The Smiler runs 3-5. People will take phones etc on the ride more things will fall out of pockets hands/etc and some people simply won't want to risk it. Pretty sure I've seen the same stuff happen on Oblivion. If a whole fam...

Re: Fantasy Island

I don't particularly like the trains, but lights could look cool. Mellors have done a lot of work over the time they've owned the place so hats off to them!

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

I see masses of them on Facebook, one was 'it doesn't turn enough' :/ left me confused a while but people are complaining about the 50mph speed. God knows what they'll think when the realise it has lap bars though. Have we got any looping coasters with them over here?

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Blackpool has a tendency to soft open rides for a few hours at a time. SkyForce was having people on 1 or 2 weeks before officially opening I believe and I'm sure there was a few more. If this is the case again, I think we'll have soft openings last week of April/start of May, and an opening on the ...

Re: Liseberg

For anyone wanting to do Liseberg, do it, even if you do go, it's not just the coasters which make it, the lighting and whole atmosphere around the park is beautiful, and also, if you can, try the restaurant underneath lisebergbanan. It's absolutely gorgeous but then again, the whole park is.

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

In an ideal world, the train launching out of a big pagoda would be pretty cool. I wouldn't be surprised if there's part of the Zen garden people can go into, or if it'll just be the queue and viewing platform. Inversions do make these coasters better, but this layout looks like it will offer a surp...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

I've seen somewhere it will have rockwork (similar to Helix/blue fire?) , and things to fit the Chinese theme, as on the posters. I'm pretty sure someone said something about pagodas as well which could be pretty cool if true.

Re: What are you listening to?

Brian fallon, gaslight anthem are my all time favourite band, 10 year tour coming up I should get tickets to and I've already booked for his new tour. Off to see Don broco in a couple of weeks or so as well.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Almost got no words for this, certainly not words I can say on here. Would make sense to open the whole park at 11 and close at 5:30/6. If it closes before 5:00 its not really worth a visit in my opinion.

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

I'm not going to say the sources were reliable, as I'm not sure they're too believable but it must have been around, 2015/16 hat I saw the rumours and it was more than one person claiming one of the Thompson were reviewing its future or something similar. Don't take it as something I've said as fact...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

From what I saw, steeplechase was on the chopping block but I don't think it will be now, Icon has been designed to fit around it. If they were to remove I'd think they'd have done it before Icon was built.

What is the deal with the boarding passes? Do you need to get one to ride?
