Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

The padded seats are extra comfy, however when being constantly thrown from side to side due to high lateral forces, they can be a bit painful and could possibly leave bruises. Much comfier to sit in than most coaster seats, they feel really similar (if not identical) to the Fungle Safari car seats ...

Re: Colossus - General Discussion

Only went on it once during the 2017 season, on the front row, and it was unbearably rough! The trains need a complete redo, they're incredibly uncomfortable and way too hard to fit in, even if you're of a smaller build. It needs a massive refurb, it was only on one train for more than most of the s...

Re: Thorpe Park Resort - General Discussion

I'm not a fan of The Walking Dead and the choice to have it "take over" the park, but these extra events are certainly a step in the right direction. Most Merlin parks usually only do a FHT and Halloween event, so it's nice to see that Thorpe are finally branching out from fright nights. H...

Re: Alton Towers Waterpark

Haven't been in years but it's a lot of fun. It's doable in a few hours, so you could do it in the morning and spend the afternoon on park. Booking won't be an issue if doing it seperately, you can do that here :)

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

Very disappointed with this news. What's the point in having most of the major stuff at the back of the park so it draws people away from the entrance if they're shut for the first hour or, in the case of Forbidden Valley, TWO hours? If you're a thrill seeker, then for the first hour or so there's o...

Re: February Half Term 2018

It's a shame to see that the event is hotel based again! I never got to do FHT when certain rides were open but it looked like a nice way to break up the closed season. It's nice to see the Pirate shows returning though, even if it's only for this event.

Re: The Merlin Annual Pass

I'll probably do the Chessington event so I can get my pass renewed! Interesting date for Thorpe however, considering that Wicker Man would/might have just opened so a lot of pass holders would be there instead?

In previous years it's usually been announced after the MAP sale has ended, so I'd imagine it'd be soon after that :)
