Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I personally don't think Alton Towers could handle being open all year right now. It seems that they're struggling to run the park as it is because of the tiny budget the resort gets given, so extending this to another hundred or so days seems impossible without a substantial increase in budget. The...

Re: 2015-2019: Possible Developments?

Thanks :) Moving Froghopper isn't as hard as you make it out, seeing as it's essentially a travelling ride. One FHT it was in Forbidden Valley after all! I wouldn't mind if 2019 sees minimal new rides but with a focus on entertainment, both in theatres and as you walk about. 2018 has certainly been ...

Re: 2015-2019: Possible Developments?

That's a nice plan Robert, but there's a few things I'd personally do differently regarding flats. Forbidden Valley could do with some sort of thrill flat on the site of Ripsaw, and the reopening of sub-terra. Imagine a KMG afterburner swinging over the area and woodland walk! Just helps soak up the...

Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Yay an opening date, but it seems that the back row will have a different height restriction.

This is an odd move as Macks other mega coasters are all 1.3m or below.

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - Rise Of The Demon

Changing the subject a little, but here's my thoughts and experience with my ride on it this year. Spoiler free verdict: The same, but with a big downgrade. Firstly, the preshow was being run weirdly. By the time we entered the room (we were in the middle of our group) Derren had just begun ...

Cheers Michelle :) As far as I know we're staying close, but not on-site. The parks website also says it'll be a "lively" few days so it shouldn't be too busy!

Re: SP Spring Spectacular 2018 - Reviews & Feedback

Ok, this event was stupidly fun. Dragon's Fury ERT was mental, and one of the few ERTs where I've felt ill! The operations were silky smooth which meant we wouldn't have to queue hours for it later on. The talk from MMM was interesting and it's always nice to see what really goes on when designing a...

Re: The Walking Dead: The Ride - New for 2018

I experienced the retheme for the first time yesterday, and I can hardly say I was impressed. Firstly, the exterior. It's an endless concrete field of cattlepen! The queue moves incredibly slowly due to the preshow being a big bottleneck, meaning I had to queue 80mins in what looked like a 30min wai...

Planning- Netherlands/Germany 2018

Hey all, Currently in the midst of planning a trip to Europe for a bit of a coaster road trip. Starting off with two days at Efteling, nipping into Toverland, then finishing with two days at Phantasialand. I've not experienced any of these parks so I was wondering if anyone has any tips and tricks t...

Re: Tifford Valley Theme Park

Dragon Dash Thrilling yet serene, our intamin launch coaster weaves its way through the Sacred Gardens at tremendous speed. This really is George’s baby- he’ll often hang out and tamper with it if there’s not a lot that needs doing on the rest of the Resort. But what can I say, it’s brilliantly det...

Re: Wicker Man Reviews & Discussion [SPOILERS]

Managed to get both a front and back row ride today. It's kinda what I expected- fun, but not overly thrilling. Preshow is nice, ride has tonnes of lateral forces, but the brake run just feels empty. It feels like there's supposed to be more in there other than some fog and lights (that I assume the...

Re: Alton Towers 2019 Addition

Whatever happens, we need FLATS. And we need them FAST. The lack of filler-rides really shows nowadays, and makes the day a bit boring. Hopefully the resort will install some thrilling, high capacity ones next year.

Re: Tifford Valley Theme Park

Ritual Fall My personal favourite ride! Inspired by The Welcoming, this is a fully functioning drop tower with a theatrical-style queue. I don’t want to brag about it too much, so I’ll leave you with the POV. YYvNiMlV0EE https://i.imgur.com/UExSWZD.png https://i.imgur.com/dTBH3oE.png https://i.imgu...
