Re: Pandora—The World of Avatar - Walt Disney World - 2017

On the topic of Avatar, has anyone seen the film and properly enjoyed it? I watched it but didn't really understand it, it was quite a strange film to be honest.

If it's as good as the insiders expect then it's going to be one of the better dark rides in the world!

Is it a meant to be a thrill ride? I've not seen too much information other than where in the park it's being built :P

And yes, you can see Submission in the background of the advert for a split second.

Re: Alton Towers - General Discussion

It's a photo of Colossus on the Facebook post, you can tell by looking closely at the train. Merlin use random images in promotional photos all the time, the photo of quote-unquote "Nemesis" in the background looks like Corkscrew with a different colour scheme...

Re: Universal Orlando Resort Discussion

Looks interesting. Is there any indication towards what the land will be used for?

Also, I am in Orlando in February - will try and get some good construction photos.

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Heading down with wife and 3 kids on 27th. We are getting train to stoke the taxi from there to splash, does anyone know a number for a decent taxi company that will have a taxi to take us all in one go? And a rough idea on price? have a look at http://grabacabstoke.com/index.html" onclick="window....

Re: Best themed Coaster Thorpe VS Alton...

The Swarm is my favourite themed coaster that I've ever encountered, despite it being in Staines-upon-Thames of all places. Considering it has an entire area of the park to itself (even though you could argue that Sonic Spinball does too haha) it is amazing how small the pathways seem because of the...

Re: Worst. Ride. Ever.

I don't know if it was just the day I rode it , and I only rode it once because it hurt, but Gwazi at Busch gardens was probably one of the worst rides I've ever ridden. Me and my family came of with headaches and a pain a bit like whiplash which ruined our day as we went on Gwazi for the first rid...

Re: What's The Smiler like?

The Smiler is a great ride that is only let down by restraints that stink of vomit and long queue times (not that you'll have to worry as you said you use the disabled entrances). I loved it when I first rode it - it's smoother than other coasters of a similar nature and the inversions all add up to...

Quick trip to BPB - 15/2/15

On Sunday last week I made a quick visit to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, which some of you may know is my home park. I rode as much as I could, except the majority of the smaller rides targeted towards kids. First ride of the day was inFusion, whose health seems to be deteriorating more and more each s...
