Re: Is there absolutly no way AT can bring back the Blackhol

I thought Black Hole went to Brazil? Or was that Thunderlooper? Yea the thunder looper is in Hopi hari theme park sao Paulo. The spinball is due for relocation... Not sure that AT would tent it though unless it for noise control. Its a shame the refurbed black hole couldn't have been retented #damh...

Re: Alton Towers - Offers, Vouchers and Discounts

EBay is full of scams. So don't spend much on them, if can afford to loose the cash, give it a go and post up here if it works.

I suppose so they don't effect the environment or the views but they have the red and yellow signs that guide you to FV & DF. they're good enough in my opinion.

Not in the dark there not.

Re: 2015 Rumours

Fair point. Plus, if annual intake gets much higher, it'll turn into Disney AT used to attract 3 million a year. For the last few years its been attracting 2.5 million. Very few people considering the park is 800 acres. It could hold a LOT more (attractions & people) Transport is Alton towers b...

Re: 2015 Rumours

I like smiler. But when a theme park spends 18 mill on a ride and it fails to attract back 500,000 lost visitors, they do consider it a huge failure.

Alton towers is failing to attract visitors.

By the way... A new floorless 'syndrome' would be great :)

Re: Proposed Paramount Park in Kent

Its going to have to have its own private airport, motorway junction, coach park and channel tunnel linked high speed train station to even get close to 15m. There's simply not enough people in the UK that visit theme parks to support those numbers. Even of it sits in between France and the UK. Not ...

Re: How old were you when...

I was also 7 and Corkscrew was one of the first rides I went on. On the same visit I also went on The Beast (Which no one ever mentions on here for some reason) and The Black hole, if my memory serves me correctly. Nobody remembers the beast haha. I went on that before corkscrew but wasn't sure if ...

Re: Sea World protests- could this be the end?

The animals are lucky. They are not on an Asians dinner plate after being captured. SeaWorld won't close, the same thing happened in the 90s, they did a few superficial changes and went on to make millions while the animal hippies continued to complain. Animal lovers probably still didn't visit, but...

Re: Alton Towers Easter Eggs

I know that there were many scenes from the old haunted house ride that were inspired by scenes from the witches of east wick like the giant's face and grand hall decoration. Yea john wardley used to be a special fx designer for hammer horror films. The Smiler's exit corridor is a nod to the black ...

Re: Improvements/General Trip Report

The burger joint next to the last sky gondola station was empty but outside was a ness with litter dirty tables and overflowing bins... Not very nice & tarnished a perfect theme park trip.
