Re: I'm a Celebrity! Maze

I think thorpe park could do so much more with that space if it wasn't based on an IP. Seeing thorpe parks interpretation of a jungle themed maze would be good to see. And changing it to a year round scare attraction over a family attraction would be ideal in my mind. They tried doing the whole yea...

Re: Drayton Manor

I always thought that the zoo was something Drayton Manor is slowly fazing out but clearly is something they are looking to invest a fair bit of money into. With regards to 2018 it's definitely time for buffalo to go and with flying dutchman in pieces theres some hope :D Drayton manor just shows tha...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train

The possible maze style exit would suit the experience very well i think, providing that this element is of a high quality with actors being present on every run through to make the addition worthwhile. I definitely don't want to see what can happen at fright nights with 'bad run throughs' especiall...

Re: Fright Nights

Only managed to experince 2 out of the 5 mazes this year on tueday 25th due to queues being long as expected. These being Platform 15 and Cabin in the woods. I had a brilliant run through in Cabin in the woods with plenty of actors and scares making it just as i expected. The only downside was the l...

Re: Liseberg

Kanonen did look like a very unique launch coaster and it's a shame I will never get to ride it. Kanonen aside however, the two new rides from the images look fantastic. It's amazing to see how Liseberg has expanded over the last few years and the new additions certainly make it a must-do park in 20...

Re: Pleasure Island

I remember going to this park about 6/7 years ago. It's a great park for the size of it and has some of the best Flat rides in the country. Especially Hydro Max, the booster. Even back then during a peak summer day I can remember crowds being very low. It's a real shame that the owners can't afford ...

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

Operations were better today in my opinion. I knew stealth, ghost train and flying fish would be closed today however all the rides remained open throughout the day that I am aware of. The Swarm closed briefly due to a guest illness and nemesis inferno was down for around 10 minutes due to a breakdo...

Re: Thorpe Park - General Discussion

Abysmal day at the park. Stealth obviously closed, DBGT closed, Colossus was closed for the latter half of the day, Nemesis Inferno ran for about 1 hour, SAW closed towards the end of the day and so did The Swarm (on a smaller scale Flying Fish was also closed all day). Free return tickets have bee...

Re: What will Alton Towers be like in 50 years?

Personally I think all the rides we see today will eventually be removed over the next 50 years replaced with rides with new technology and concepts which the current rides don't have. I think all the areas will be rethemed however the hotels will expand and the current ones will stay in place. Owne...

Re: Your Favourite TV Shows

Currently enjoying series 4 of Friday Night Dinner, the other 3 series were just as hilarious as the current series. It's one of those sitcoms that I never stop laughing at.

Re: PortAventura World

I'd probably pay for one day ticket if I was there for a week. As you said, paying similar gate prices to what Portaventura Park charges for one coaster isn't worth it more than once or twice during a trip. Hopefully while staying in one of the PA hotels, they'll give you a discount, similar to what...

Re: Bubbleworks 2017 refurbishment

I think they will keep the same ride system but with a complete retheme of the ride, I can't honestly see a completely new ride being added in that space of time between September and March although it could be possible I guess. Chessington are seriously in need of something new though, closing bubb...

Re: Portaventura September 2016

When we went last summer in 2015 we used hoppa.com to arrange our transfers from Barcelona el prat . It's about £40 return on a bus and I would only guess a taxi would be more expensive however it would depend on how many of you are going. You could always look into getting the train but that would ...

Re: Fright Nights

Seems there have been some slight (and probably unpopular) changes to the pricing structure for Annual Passholders this year. While there's no change to the arrangement for Premium passholders with the £1 reservation fee still in place, the price for Standard passholders varies depending on the dat...

Re: 2017: New Attractions

I'm frustrated with the outcome of this planning application because as others have stated a major new flat ride would suit the park and it's also in need for one. I can see why they're expanding cbeebies again though, if a certain area of the park is attracting a high volume of guests then they nee...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

Having been on the Ghost train today, I can say i'm really impressed with it. It's just what I imagined and more. Obviously i'm not going to spoil it for those who haven't been on however I did find that the VR in one section was out of focus and I struggled to adjust it correctly meaning I had a sl...

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

Does anyone know if the Ghost train opens with the rest of the park, now it's officially open, at 9:30/10:00am when the gates open, or does it have a staggered opening?

Re: Derren Brown's Ghost Train - New for 2016

This is such good news, if they're opening it to all park guests late in the day I can potentially see it opening fully over the weekend, potentially saturday. At the end of the day, they wouldn't be opening it to all park guests if they weren't ready. I'm guessing they opened it so late due to staf...
