Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Wait, they sell maze tickets in the smiler shop? Where else do they sell them? I don't think nicky.borrill meant The Smiler shop, I think they meant the fastrack kiosk opposite the arcade and behind The Smiler toilets. I don't know for sure but they could potentially sell them at the Dark Forest ki...

Re: ScareMazing 2018 - Reviews & Feedback

Was my first ever TT Event, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. First of all thanks to all the team who put so much effort and planning into the event to allow it to run as smooth as possible and secondly thanks to all the people who made it a great day despite the laughably long queues! The Nemesis ERT wa...

So Towers have banned Nerf Guns and Foam Swords?

It would appear so, yes.

Don't they sell both of those inside the park anyway? Not so sure on the Nerf Guns, but I know swords are on sale in the Mutiny Bay 'shoppe'.

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

I didn't go last year on the 31st but it was quite quiet, however, the 31st this year falls into many [local] school holidays and if not, I know a few of the local colleges and schools also have trips there that day - so expect your average Scarefest day in terms of queues, but I doubt it'll be the ...

Re: Fright Nights

Fright Nights Review 2018: I visited the event as a last minute plan on Friday 12th October. We arrived at Thorpe at around 1.30pm, and please bear in mind we DID purchase Fastrack on our visit (in order to do everything we wanted). The Fastracks we purchased were 'The Triple Threat' and 'The Terrif...

Re: The Alton Towers Dungeon - New for 2019

I totally agree with Bert, I hope that this isn't all to the Towers Dungeon; as it does come across very lazy. Especially because Towers has such an extensive backstory and history behind it (which many parks don't have), it seems like such a shame not to use that in a Dungeons attraction, as otherw...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

I highly doubt there will be a park closure, especially considering its Scarefest. However, if that was to happen against the odds contact the resort and they will most likely re-validate your tickets, and give you a discounted hotel room for your next visit!  :)

Re: Gate opening ride order during Scarefest?

Hi, Not been in the 2018 season so far but thinking of going for Oct half term.  My usual plan in previous seasons with ERT was Spinball, Oblivion, Ent in ERT, then Smiler at 10, then on to Rita, 13, Nemesis, Air. However WM now changes that and it's scarefest so no ERT (grrrrr). Plan to be at the ...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

Am so glad the clowns have returned, the acting team for them is fab - especially The Ring Master. Wicker Man also looks brilliant in photos i’ve seen so far and I'm really happy towers have put lighting in for it. As with scare mazes heard mixed reviews but mainly positive. The finally, as Ismail s...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Has anyone ever been to Scarefest and bought a Platinum Fastrack? How were the queues for you if you did? I bought Platinum Fastrack twice last season, once for Fireworks and the other for Scarefest. The queues the major coasters were no longer than 20 minutes (longer queues on The Smiler and Rita)...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - Quick Questions

Photos are £10 each, or 2 for £15 - but that has to be on the same purchase. 'One-day' Digipasses are £30 with a second day (added on) £10. Merch is all the over the place price wise, the pins start at either £3.50/4 and then hoodies I think are something like £35. But on top of that, you do get you...

Re: Scarefest - General Discussion

As much as I'm not a fan of it, I can see why they have done; because in my opinion it makes the exterior look a lot more photogenic (than just plain black) and they may allow (don't know for sure yet) photographs in front of it for guests to post on Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter... Which works as fr...

Re: Alton Towers Resort - General Discussion

I totally agree with that to be honest. Like yes, I think Wicker Man is a very very good investment, but other than that the guest experience at Towers is definitely on the decline. I really hope that this will change in the foreseeable future, or otherwise, I think it could lead to a substantial ne...

Re: Wicker Man General Discussion

Has the resort confirmed that the Wicker Man actors will be surrounding the area, or is that purely speculation? Nevertheless, I'm VERY excited to ride Wicker Man in the dark - however, I'm sure the queues will be more scary than the ride  :lol
