Re: Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Indeed which is why I used the phrasing from the competiton “amongst the first” and not the first, nor did I mention this was to ride before its debut. But thank you for clarifying that although I’m sure those who followed the link would have found this. :)  It's just that your original post read l...

Re: SeaWorld San Diego

SeaWorld have announced that as of summer 2018, Aquatica San Diego will be going solar with about 90% of the park's electricity being provided by a brand new on site solar plant. If successful, it is hoped that this scheme can be gradually rolled out into the company's other theme parks and water pa...

Gosh does anyone think the Big Dipper needs a coat of paint because it looks very old and rotting compared to Icon and even Infusion!

It is nearly 100 years old so yeah, a repaint would be nice :P

I'm sure that I read someone saying that new paint damages the wood though.

Some great new pictures from the Coasterforce forum showing some insane near misses and snappy banking! You can really see how much Big Dipper's ride experience is going to be enhanced by Icon. https://scontent.fdsa1-1.fna.fbcdn.net/v/t34.0-12/24824348_1165558893604097_881148173_n.jpg?oh=bb9425d64fa...

They're are some PR images of the boats floating around now, it's interesting in that they've not got seatbelts. Does seem like they've paid attension to Drayton Manor though, higher seatbacks (looks like it's 'topple-safe' height for kids standing on a seat), meshing in the gaps and guardrails aro...

Re: SeaWorld Orlando

Whatever you say, as others have said above other paths seem to be ok so I will remain understandably on the fence. Is there anywhere that states the damage costs anyway? I would be interested in seeing that :-k I don't think there has been a damage cost reported, I guess it would depend on wether ...

Perception issues resurfaced in California due to reduced marketing spend for example. I do have some hope for Sa...
